Before joining Warburg Realty, Mitch Askinas (for 18 prior years) was the President of his own financial business-consulting firm in NYC. During this period, Mitch began purchasing, renovating, selling and managing condominium units in Manhattan. Mitch came to real estate with a diverse business background from several successful enterprises (Glen Oaks Industries-apparel manufacturing, MRA Enterprises Ltd.-financial business consulting). He is skilled at negotiating, sales, creative marketing & financial analysis.
Mitch currently lives on Upper Eastside, where he serves as a Board member at his condominium, and as the Chair of the Condominium's House Committee. This gives him a first hand understanding of what a building Board is currently looking for in a sale or rental Board Package. He applies this knowledge to ensure that his clients are approved by the prospective Boards. Mitch also knows the downtown area having graduated from NYU Stern Business School, living in the village and later receiving an Executive MBA degree from Pace University.
In 2013, Mitch was accepted into membership of the New York Friar's Club, fulfilling a long time desire to be a member of the club. Mitch is also a Senior Arbitrator at the NYSE Department of Arbitration and is past president and a current Board member of the NYU Executive Forum, a Stern Business School affiliate club. Mitch is a member of the Real Estate Board of New York's Residential Council, as well as a member of it’s Executive Committee. He has been quoted several times by Vivian Toy of the New York Times Sunday Real Estate Section, as well as in multiple interviews by Jane Mount Reilly for her real estate column in the N.Y. Post (Thursday) Home Section. In July '09 Mitch's exclusive @ 118 E 60th was featured by Sun. NYT R.E. section.
