Originally from Israel, Yael completed several years of military service as an officer who rose to the rank of First Lieutenant in the Israel Defense Forces. She is a graduate of Hebrew University in Jerusalem with a degree in Political Science. Yael came to New York in the mid-1980s, and has since been a contented Upper West Side resident. Yael lives on Riverside Drive with her husband and two sons, and is an active member of the PTA in their schools. She is also a big supporter of the Riverside Park Fund, plus was highly involved in the planning and construction of a children’s playroom in her building.
