Velvet Abashian is the Broker and Owner of Avian Village Realty, Inc. which she started in 1990 after a decade of working for major Manhattan Real Estate Firms.  She first acquired her Real Estate License in 1979 after a career in Medical Photography.

Over the past 37 years Velvet has personally completed over 120 Sales Transactions and more than 2,500+ Rentals.  Her Real Estate experience includes owning and managing Avian Village Realty,Inc for 25 years, being a Landlord / Real Estate Investor for over 35 years, and a New York City Broker for more than 3 decades. 

She is knowledgeable about Construction, Property Management, and is the President of the Condominium Association at 13 Morton Street where her office is located.

Velvet is a Graduate of  Wagner College with a degree in Philosophy and Eastern Religions (1974) and also The Germaine School of Photography(1976).  She spent a year abroad living in Bregenz, Austria.

Her continued education in the area of personal development, human awareness and advancement help enable her to bring a unique "listening" to everyone she works with. 

Her attention to detail and excellent work ethic have been key to her Success in the New York City Real Estate Market.
