Tama is a licensed Associate Broker and certified Buyer's Broker. They are also certified by the Department of State (DOS) to teach NYC real estate. They have practiced in NYC for more than 15 years, and before that was an investor in real estate, renovating and restoring fixer-uppers, as well as being a landlord for over 30 years. They bring to their practice a wide array of knowledge, experience, and a strong work ethic that includes a dedication to Fair Housing, respect for others, and the enthusiasm to educate consumers about our unique NYC real estate market.
Tama is a member of REBNY and NAGLREP, and although a full-service broker, specializes in working with first-time renters and buyers, investors, landlords, pet-owners, and the GLBTQI community. They also specialize in the purchase and sale of artist’s spaces and multi-family dwellings. Tama (T.R. Robertson) is also a practicing artist who exhibits their work internationally. They hold a BFA in drawing, painting, and sculpture, and an MS in Art Education from Indiana University, Bloomington, IN. Their past employment has included teaching visual arts and architecture for the Lincoln Center Institute, and the AIA, Learning By Design Program.
Tama is currently restoring an 1890s brownstone in the Landmarked Historical District of Hamilton Heights/West Harlem, and they support Habitat for Humanity NYC, and volunteer in Riverside Park.
