Ms. Laki was born and raised in former Yugoslavia, where she studied Law and World History at Belgrade University of Philosophy. From 1992-1996, Ms. Laki worked as Assistant to the Director of Marketing for NIS, Yugoslavia's leading Oil Company. She was managing and organizing their international exhibitions and promotions where they been leasing 10,000-50,000 sf office space in YU and other locations in Europe.

Ms. Laki came to United States in 1997. She lived in Seattle, WA for two years and after which she moved to New York City and begin her career at Tungsten Properties Commercial Real Estate Agency in Manhattan. Ms. Laki specializes in Commercial Leasing and Sales. Over 19 years she has exclusively represented owners/sellers and buyers in commercial and residential real estate.

Currently Ms. Laki maintains her brokerage at the office of City Connections Realty, Inc., from which she manages a team of agents who work with her on various commercial and residential transactions.

To balance her busy schedule, she makes sure to continue her practice in martial arts, which has been an integral part of her life for the past thirty eight years. Sensei Laki has a black belt in Sohot Kan karate, a third degree black belt in Goju Ruy and she is an instructor at Columbia University where she runs Goju Karate Club and Physical Education self-defense class.

In her college days Ms. Laki worked as a model and traveled extensively through Europe. She was chosen to represent Yugoslavia as second runner-up in the Miss Eastern European Competition.

She speaks Serbo-Croatian, Montenegrin, Bosnian, English and Italian.
