Sean Sears has earned success in the real estate business by treating the interests and concerns of his buyers, sellers, renters and landlords as if they were his own. Since 2008, this diligent, dedicated professional has consistently ranked among the top-performing tier of sales professionals because he does whatever it takes to exceed his clients' expectations.
Sean's philosophy has always been to work hard, and be honest and responsive. These are the most important elements in any business relationship, he feels. As a result, he's been rewarded with a strong network of personal referrals. "I strive to make buying, selling and renting a seamless and pleasant experience. I find that my clients want to understand the process, and appreciate my experience, guidance and humor. Because of this, I continue to maintain relationships with past clients, many of whom continue to be great friends."
A graduate of the University of Guyana with an Agriculture and Environmental Science degree, Sean also studied at Hunter College at CUNY, and received a certificate of Property Management from New York University School of Continuing Education. He is presently working on his Masters at NYU. Prior to entering real estate, he worked as a proprietary equity trader for a select group of boutique trading firms, and as a restaurant manager for some of NYC’s finest restaurants. This experience coupled with his personal knowledge having moved constantly throughout NYC, lived in four of the five boroughs, and become a homeowner himself, enables him to find great value for his clients.
Master of many trades, Sean balances his career as a broker with his diverse passions. He adores city life and enjoys helping new and seasoned New Yorkers find comfortable, affordable homes. "I like being plugged into the energy that NYC offers. My clients also find it hugely beneficial that I've lived in so many different neighborhoods, and been a renter, landlord, buyer and seller myself. Each role is unique and deserving of a different set of skills, and I’m well versed in each."
Since living in the Caribbean, Sean developed a love for travel, so tries to visit a new place every year. He speaks some Spanish, and is working on his Portuguese. Sean has also given time as a volunteer for the Special Olympics and low income housing development.
