My name is Macy J. Blank. I was born and raised in North Dakota and later attended the University of Minnesota, where I majored in computer science and physics with a minor in Chinese. During my time there I studied Mandarin on the side, opening up opportunities to study abroad in Shanghai, Taipei, and Nanjing. After completing my bachelor’s degree, I earned a master’s in interpretation and translation from Shanghai International Studies University. From 2019 to 2024, I worked in Shanghai as a professional Mandarin-English interpreter. At the end of 2024, I relocated to New York City to begin my career in residential real estate. For the past six months, I’ve primarily served as a buyer’s agent in Manhattan, and in July of 2025, I was honored to join the Bethoney-Shen team at Nest Seekers International. Outside of real estate, you’ll usually find me with my nose in a book or dancing at a salsa/bachata social. While I’m back in the U.S. now, I’m still passionate about learning the richness of Chinese language and culture—and excited to continue that journey as a real estate professional.
