Apartment 3-I at 277 Washington Avenue is a spacious turn-of-the-century prewar one-bedroom that exudes warmth and comfort.  The combination of classic details and artful renovations to the kitchen and bath create a special home.

A gracious foyer welcomes you home, providing a touch of formality to the residence.  High ceilings, rich parquet floors and accentuated door casings and moldings deliver a prewar sensibility.

We love the kitchen. It’s fresh.  It’s bright.  It’s elegant.  White lacquered cabinets,  white subway tiles and a marble countertop provide a sense of calm.  A suite of stainless steel appliances and a farmer’s table for casual dining (at least in its current configuration), complete the setting.

The windowed bathroom features marble tiled walls, a deep claw-foot tub and a mounted console sink.

Aside from the physical attributes, Apartment 3-I, enjoys a very modest monthly maintenance of $874.

Built in 1905, 277 Washington Avenue, aka Francine Towers, is a handsome six-story co-op with a prominent street presence.  An arched limestone entrance adds a touch of grandeur to the red brick facade.  Casement windows on the front elevation further enhance the street appeal.

The 63-unit co-op features a part-time doorman.  Amenities include a common laundry room, bike storage and private storage.
