Permits have been filed for an 8-story residential building at 711 Franklin Avenue in Crown Heights Brooklyn.  The property is located at the southeast corner of Franklin Avenue and Park Place, just one block east of Elijah G. Stroud Elementary School.

The proposed 87-foot tall development will total 47,094 square feet. According to the filing, the entire building will be residential in usage.  The plans call for 58 residential units.  The average size of an apartment, based on gross numbers, will be about 811 square feet.  The permit shows 21 enclosed parking spaces. 

Oren Sauberman of RW 705 Franklin LLC is listed as the owner behind the application. Sauberman also serves as the President of RW Real Estate Group LLC, a real estate development firm based out of Rego Park Queens. The architect is listed as Jordan Rogove of DXA Studio. The site is currently occupied by a strip of retail stores.The neighborhood is serviced by the 2,3,4 and 5 trains at the Franklin Avenue – Medger Evers College station as well as Bergen Street station and Grand Army Plaza station. Additional lines include the A and C trains at the Franklin Avenue station and the B and Q trains at the 7^th Avenue station. The property is within easy walking distance to Prospect Park, Brooklyn Museum, and the Brooklyn Botanical Garden.
