22 Skillman St, Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn

Permits have been filed for a 7-story residential building at 22 Skillman Street in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn.  The property is located on the east side of Skillman Street between Flushing Avenue and Park Avenue.

The proposed 70-foot tall development will total 115,580 square feet. According to the filing, the entire building will be residential in usage.  The plans call for 83 residential units.  The average size of an apartment, based on gross numbers, will be about 1,392 square feet.  The permit shows 42 enclosed parking spaces. 

Zelig Weiss of Riverside Developers is listed as the owner behind the application. Weiss is also part of the ownership group behind the William Vale Hotel in Williamsburg. The architect is listed as Daniel Condatore of Daniel Condatore RA. The site is currently occupied by a single-story warehouse.

The neighborhood is serviced by the G train at Flushing Avenue. The property is within easy walking distance to Taaffe Playground.
