The latest edition of Price Chop looks at a large maisonette apartment in Carnegie Hill.  And at its newly reduced price of $395,000 it’s worth taking a serious look.

Apartment 1-A at 114 East 90th Street is a six-room ground floor apartment with its own private street entrance.  It’s the best of both worlds – townhouse living with the amenities and security of a co-op building.  Previously utilized as a professional office, the new buyer can convert this flexible space into a two or three-bedroom home.  

The current price for the Carnegie Hill co-op is $395,000.  Yes, you read that correctly.  The apartment has been on and off the market since early 2019 when it was first introduced at an ask of $999,000.  In January 2021 it came back on to the market at $699,000.  In March 2022 a contract was signed but that deal eventually collapsed.  Most recently, the apartment was withdrawn in December 2022 before it returned this week at the new price.
