Property Description for 624 Decatur Street

A breathtaking approach was taken to this 20' wide brownstone located on one of the nicest blocks in all of Historical Stuyvesant Heights.

An absolute one of a kind on the infamous 600s block of Decatur, 624 Decatur St is on the short list of fully renovated brownstones priced under $2 million. With an incredible open layout and super tall ceiling heights, you will feel like you are entering and endless home. This grandioso brownstone is 20’ wide and 45’ deep, allowing for maximum livable square footage and sits on a 100’ lot.

Configured as 3BR 2.5 BATH owner duplex with a deck running from the kitchen right into your gorgeous backyard. The barrel shape facade allows light to enter from numerous angles and with the garden facing south combined with massive windows, the house is continuously drenched with natural sunlight. The home is finished with stunning hardwood floors and finishes with an amazing chef’s kitchen, perfect for any cook.

On the garden level there is 2BR 2BATH Rental with the same finishes as the owner duplex, over an open finished basement. Making this an easy rental for roommates or a small family.

The one thing you can't change about a house is it's location. You definitely wouldn't want to change where this gem sits. Sitting on a picturesque tree lined, brownstone block that is close to both the A/C and J/Z Trains and walking distance from the incredible shoppes and cafes on Ralph and Patchen Ave. Walk right to MacDonough Cafe, Chez Oscar, Casablanca, the vibrant Saratoga Park, amongst many other BedStuy/Stuy Heights staples!

Bedford Stuyvesant | Brooklyn

Quick Profile

Known for its historic brownstones and tight-knit enclave, Bed-Stuy has increasingly left behind its early reputation for being a “bedroom community” and transcended into a highly desirable neighborhood.

Distinct for its aesthetic, it is populated with ornate buildings characterized by cornices, friezes, finials, fluting and other marks of classic architecture. Built up during the period from 1870 to 1900, its historic district runs to the north of Jefferson Avenue, to the east of Malcolm X Boulevard and to the west of Tompkins Avenue.

At one point known as “Brooklyn’s Little Harlem,” the shape of the area has shifted toward attracting a wider demographic of people thanks to the influx of bars, restaurants, antique furniture stores and vintage boutiques. More police enforcement paired with the decline of the crack epidemic at the beginning of the 2000s also opened the door for increased development, as well as the occupation of formerly abandoned buildings and spaces.
