Property Description for 250 West Street, 5-G

Welcome to this Tribeca Designer Home which reflects true modern living. In the heart of TriBeCa’s landmark historic district, 250 West Street is a former warehouse transformed into a unique collection of luxury condominium residences by El Ad Group and designed by GNA Architects.

5G is a model residence which was initially designed by architect David Rockwell. The intricate care and detail + one of a kind finishes are what make this home unique and separate from all others in the building.

This magnificent loft style, corner 3 bed / 3.5 bath home boasts close to 2,000 square feet and offers exceptional light, city views, and generous living. Enter into a grand foyer which opens up to a sprawling living/dining room with oversized arched windows throughout. The open chefs kitchen features hand painted Haveli tiles from Ann Sacks, Poggenpohl cabinetry, Silestone countertops, and a premium appliance package by Jenn-Air including: a glass canopy hood, induction range cooktop, an integrated subzero refrigerator, and combination microwave wall oven.

The large master bedroom has a contemporary vibe and features an oversized walk in master closet with linen-finish shelves and cabinetry by California Closets and an en-suite master double vanity bathroom with soaking tub and a glass enclosed shower. The two additional bedrooms are very well proportioned and each offers customized closets and en-suite bathrooms with hand-laid imported marble and 5 inch plank oak hardwood floors throughout.

Additional Highlights: 10-foot high ceilings, motorized shades on all windows, hardwood floors, central heat/air, Bosch washer/dryer in unit, modern light fixtures, built in office and sound system throughout. Private storage is also available. Pet's are welcome!

Building Highlights: 250 West is a full service building with a live-in super and a full time concierge/doorman. It was beautifully restored with two majestic iron gates that welcome residents and guests into an exquisite lobby with a separate library lounge.

Amenity Package: The two-level amenity areas include a beautifully designed and unique 61-foot pool and lounge, two saunas, state-of-the-art fitness center and a delightful children’s playroom. 250 West also offers a 5000 square foot common roof terrace with panoramic views overlooking the Hudson River and Park, with sundeck, lounge, barbecue and dining area.

Perfectly situated in the landmarked TribeCa North Historic District - Manhattan’s most sought after and desired neighborhood. The building overlooks Hudson River Park and is surrounded by Michelin start restaurants including Frenchette, Tetsu, Locande Verde and many more. This ideal location offers an array of activities, entertainment and shops and is within close proximity to the A/C/E & 1 trains.

Quick Profile

TriBeCa, named after the small geographic triangle below Canal Street. It’s not really a triangle, it's a quadrilateral and it's bounded by West Street, Broadway, and Chambers Street. It’s a little too late for a name change and besides, QuaBeCa doesn't sound half as cool as Tribeca.

One of New York City’s more notable acronymed neighborhoods, TriBeCa is known for its trendy boutiques, fabolous restaurants, historical landmarks, and resident celebrity lofts. It still holds the title of one of the coolest places to live in New York City.

TriBeCa is one of the first residential neighborhoods of New York City. Way back in 1700’s wealthy New Yorkers built homes and maintained gardens in what is now TriBeca.

Later in history it shifted from residential to warehouses, commerce and markets. After the Civil War, shipping hubs moved from the East River to the Hudson River and revitalized areas like the South Street Seaport and TriBeca. When shipping and commerce increased, the area soon became a favorite spot for wholesalers to store their goods in large industrial warehouses.

Just like its neighbor SoHo, TriBeCa boasts one of the world’s largest collections of wrought-iron facades and Neo-Grecian architecture.
