Property Description for 250 West 24th Street, 6-FE

Apartment 6FE is a Gracious TOP FLOOR one bedroom with a separate office area and incredible custom designer details that make the most of the space without losing any of the charm of this dramatic Art Deco apartment.
You enter a large central foyer that leads you to a spacious sunken Living room with a 9+-foot ceiling and vintage style moldings beautifully lit with custom high-hat LED lighting, a through wall A/C keeps things cool and the pass through to the kitchen integrates the separate kitchen into the living area, just enough. The large windowed kitchen features handmade Italian custom cabinets, Liebherr ref, Bertazzoni gas range and a Miele integrated D/W, and an exhaust fan vented to the exterior.
Across the foyer the well-proportioned bedroom has 2 large windows and can easily accommodate a king size bed, with end tables and dressers, plus, a massive custom designed WIC concealed behind a mirrored wall.
Nicely separated from the foyer and next to the bedroom is a totally remodeled bath with a walk-in shower, extra-large window and custom fixtures. There is also an electrified recessed medicine cabinet and an outlet below the sink, for easy re-charging of grooming appliances. There is a large linen closet outside the bath.
Also adjacent to the foyer is a separate office area with a pass-through shutter that allows day light in from bedroom. It is well designed as a work space but could accommodate a twin bed, creating the perfect little extra space everyone needs in a NYC apartment.
The entire apartment gets excellent, cool, reflected sun, all day long! The custom sound system has separate speakers and volume controls in each room including the bathroom!
This rarely available home is extraordinary because it has been professionally designed to be highly functional, stylish, efficient and enhance all the Art Deco details that make this building so appealing. Where else can you have, light, quiet, a windowed kitchen, a separate office area, a large entrance foyer, all with stable, reasonable mtc. in a prewar doorman building and a hot Chelsea location? Nowhere but here!
Must be seen to be fully appreciated.
Chelsea Gardens is a rare example of late 1930's Art Deco architecture.
There is a full-service staff including a 24-hour doorman and live in super, 24-hour laundry in the basement and additional storage available as well as a bike room.
The building’s most striking feature, besides the vintage style lobbies, is the large common garden that is available to all residents to enjoy with multiple seating areas, table and chairs. There are 4 entry lobbies around the garden giving the complex the feeling of a small village with a very neighborly community feeling that is unique in the middle of busy Manhattan, especially half a block from 2/3, C, E subway lines and a short walk to everything Chelsea has to offer including the High Line, galleries and shopping.
Agent is also a resident/shareholder in the building.

Quick Profile

The row houses portray the world-class architecture of Greek Revival, Italianate and Georgian styles. The population is both ethnically and socially diverse, which is reflected in the restaurants and retail businesses in the neighborhood.

Western Chelsea is the center of the NYC art world, where you will find more than 200 art galleries housed in rehabbed factories and warehouses, as well as in newly-constructed buildings.

While people of many different cultures call Chelsea home, it has been a mecca over the years for people in the LGBTQ community. One census reported that as many as 22% of its residents were gay couples. Eighth Avenue is a trendy area for LGBTQ-oriented dining and shopping. Although it no longer draws the LGBTQ population that it once did, Chelsea still has many popular alternative bars.

Chelsea is primarily residential, consisting of a mixture of diverse complexes, low-rise apartment blocks, tenements, townhouses, renovated row houses, and luxury high-rises.

Chelsea is an interesting and sought-after place to live, with unique clothing boutiques, restaurants, and delis representing cultures from around the world. In addition to its quirky establishments, Chelsea has fine dining restaurants and a vibrant, hip nightlife, which adds to its allure.

Chelsea is well-served by public transportation. At least six city bus routes traverse Chelsea. There are three NYC subway routes with stops on Seventh Avenue, three on Eighth Avenue, and two more on Sixth Avenue. The 34th Street - Hudson Yards Station opened in 2015 with its main entrance in Chelsea.
