Property Description for 31 Tiemann Place, 7

Overlooking tree-lined Tiemann Place, is a custom renovated, sun-all-day, 2 bedroom apartment with all of the modern conveniences typically seen in apartments that are double the cost. Sophisticated French Country Style meets Upper West Side Pre-War Bohemian elegance inspired the architect designed and exceptionally functional renovations. All of which complement the romance of this enchanting Morningside Heights neighborhood. All pictures are of the actual apartment, taken with and without furnishings. The space is ideal for entertaining. The main space features dining space for 6 and separate living area. Check out those floor to ceiling built-in cabinets for your extensive collections! The three wall kitchen is loaded fully loaded with storage, double wide farmhouse sink, 5 burner Viking stove, full sized Miele dishwasher, large Liebheer fridge and a gas powered IN UNIT WASHER DRYER, and is comfortable for two to work in at that same time! The kitchen’s pictures are great, but they still don’t do the space it’s true justice. The bathroom features excellent style with an abundance of storage! Wall to wall custom vanity with white granite counters and double undermounted sinks, tasteful Kohler fixtures and fittings, including towel rings, recessed lighting and upper cabinetry. Marble and subway tiles throughout. The master bedroom has ample room for a queen bed and features a large WALK IN CLOSET. The second bedroom is a good size with its own closet. It is great for so many purposes, I am happy to name just a few: guest room, child’s room, roommate’s room, music room, study, the list goes on and on. Bring your picnic blanket as right out your door and just one block away are the rolling hills and open green space of Riverside Park. Views of the Hudson River and the world famous Riverside Church abound. Children will love the nearby Claremont Playground. Restaurants and nightlife abound. Just a block away is Pisticci, with 4.5 stars and known as one of the top date spots in the city. To the north is the Bierstrasse Harlem Beer Garden and legendary Cotton Club where the greats of the music world have graced the stage. Living is convenient. Nearby Fairway Market for groceries and the 1 train is just one block away, brings you to Midtown in under 20 mins. Easy going board, pet friendly, liberal sublet policy and pied a terres allowed. Showing daily with 24 hour notice.

Morningside Heights | Manhattan

Quick Profile

Due to the large number of institutes of higher learning that are housed within its borders, most notably Columbia University, Morningside Heights has a very definite college-town vibe. It has been dubbed the “Academic Acropolis,” both for the large number of schools and for the fact that the neighborhood is built high atop the Manhattan schist bluffs that are the geological bedrock of NYC. From this vantage point, which is the highest point of land in all of Manhattan, you can take in stunning views of upper Manhattan and the Hudson River. Sunsets are especially breathtaking from Riverside Park.

Walk through Morningside Heights and you’ll see a diverse population, especially when the schools are in session. It has a generally quiet atmosphere, bounded by large green spaces, dotted with small cafes, specialty stores, and restaurants that offer all manner of international cuisine. There is a modest nightlife consisting of intimate bars and small musical venues, many of which are open to the wee hours of the morning, and frequented by students.

Housing is primarily pre-war buildings that have larger apartments and beautiful architecture clustered around Broadway. You can find affordable walk-ups in low-rise buildings on the side streets. Many of the residential buildings in the area actually are owned by Columbia University.
