Property Description for 35 Monroe Street

Beautifully restored, this classic Brooklyn brownstone is a quintessentially modern home. The original fac¸ade blends into the charming townhouse row on Monroe Street and the tastefully installed sleek gates is a subtle contemporary detail that sets it apart. Completely gut renovated, the interiors are finished with a light palette of beautiful tiles and gracious floors, oversized windows, and plenty of closets. The kitchens are fully equipped with stainless steel appliances, LG dishwasher, an in-unit washer/dryer, tile black-splash, and quartz countertops. The bathrooms are finished with luxurious tiles and a choice of indulgent soaking baths or soothing showers.

Designed as a primary residence with investment value, this 3 family townhouse features a garden duplex as the owner's home and two additional two bed two bath units as rentals. Lavishly laid out, the duplex starts at the garden floor where an open living space meets an open kitchen with a beautiful counter perfect for breakfast and late evening meals. Continuing to the back of the unit, a large master simply stuns with its en-suite bath and exclusive access to a large backyard, just in time for entertaining during the warm seasons. Up the stairs, there is a second master with an en-suite bath and a large walk-in closet, two more bedrooms and a full bath. This duplex is truly special because it is also connected to a fully-finished basement, which can be repurposed into a recreation room. On the levels above, the two bed two bath units each occupy a floor with a similiar yet distinct layout, perfect for attracting different renters.

Situated in between Clinton Hill and Bed-Stuy, this home is the epitome of Brooklyn charm. Just steps away from award-winning restaurants and small boutique shops, dining and shopping is an unparalleled experience. Discover why both neighborhoods are the most buzzed about as of recent years!

Bedford Stuyvesant | Brooklyn

Quick Profile

Known for its historic brownstones and tight-knit enclave, Bed-Stuy has increasingly left behind its early reputation for being a “bedroom community” and transcended into a highly desirable neighborhood.

Distinct for its aesthetic, it is populated with ornate buildings characterized by cornices, friezes, finials, fluting and other marks of classic architecture. Built up during the period from 1870 to 1900, its historic district runs to the north of Jefferson Avenue, to the east of Malcolm X Boulevard and to the west of Tompkins Avenue.

At one point known as “Brooklyn’s Little Harlem,” the shape of the area has shifted toward attracting a wider demographic of people thanks to the influx of bars, restaurants, antique furniture stores and vintage boutiques. More police enforcement paired with the decline of the crack epidemic at the beginning of the 2000s also opened the door for increased development, as well as the occupation of formerly abandoned buildings and spaces.
