This 19 x 45 three story plus English Basement boasts over 3000 square feet of living space and impeccably restored architectural details throughout. Currently configured as an owner's lower triplex (including in-laws suite) with rental on top, you can very easily convert to the single family home of your dreams. The magnificent parlor floor boasts a full-width formal dining room including a gorgeous original mantel, Arts and Crafts ceiling, and pristine hardwood floors. The spacious living and center parlor have working pocket doors, picture frame moldings, pier mirrors, and three north-facing bay-front windows. There are high ceilings and abundant light on every floor of the home, along with treetop views of Prospect Park. The entire in-laws suite on the English Basement level has been renovated to include a newly tiled kitchen and bath, whitewashed oak floors, sliding frosted glass doors to a recreation room or home office, and ample storage. The owner's main living space on the parlor and third floors features a newly renovated kitchen with Caeserstone countertops, stainless appliances, and a retro commercial grade Wolf Chef's Stove. There are 2.5 newly renovated bathrooms with penny tile, marble, subway tile, and new brushed brass fixtures. The third floor also offers three bedrooms and a laundry room. The top floor of the home is currently used as a high income producing rental apartment with an eat-in kitchen, two-bedrooms, a newly renovated bathroom with walk in shower, Moroccan tiled floor and brushed brass fixtures. Windsor Terrace | Brooklyn

Quick Profile

The tiny, comma-shaped neighborhood of Windsor Terrace is bookended between two of Brooklyn’s largest green spaces, Prospect Park and the massive Green-Wood cemetery. Aside from the presence of the Prospect Park Expressway, which dissects the neighborhood in two, this residential community offers a suburban sensibility with its tree-lined streets, low volume traffic and the low height character of its streetscape.

Many homes in the area are low to the ground, lending a suburban feel to the neighborhood, and the area has been down-zoned to maintain its low-rise appeal and character. There are plentiful brick row houses that have very low turnover. If you are lucky enough to buy or rent one, you tend to hold on to it. There are also small apartment buildings, private homes, condos and multi-family homes in a wide price range

There is commercial development along Prospect Park West, Fort Hamilton Parkway and Prospect Avenue, but even these new stores and restaurants are mostly family-owned and operated, maintaining the small-town charm. The pace of life is slower. The schools are good, which is a big draw for families with young children. The people are friendly, which gives a real sense of neighborhood and community to Windsor Terrace.
