Property Description for 102 Devoe Street

Incredible opportunity to own a fully detached brick home on the picturesque tree-lined Devoe St. This beautiful home was fully renovated just six years ago, so it's completely move-in ready, a rarity for the neighborhood! Walk into your first-floor owners duplex and be greeted by an open floor plan boasting original hardwood floors which are featured throughout the property. Next you'll find the chef's quality kitchen which features a suite of stainless steel appliances including dishwasher, built in microwave, five burner stove, and French door refrigerator which perfectly complement the cream colored cabinets. The made to order stone countertop provides plenty of counter space for cooking prep or countertop storage, and includes a wrap-around island with countertop seating, custom recessed lighting and Anderson sliding glass doors leading out to a private wood deck in the yard. Right off the kitchen is a spacious dining area which can easily accommodate a ten seat or even barn table, so you'll be able to host even the biggest get-togethers while soaking up the sunlight coming from both the sliding glass doors and the dining room windows. The massive open living area right off the dining room is perfectly laid out to accommodate any type of layout you'd like, including even the largest pieces of furniture, and looks out onto the quiet but scenic street. Right past the dining room you'll find a wall of closets that lead to your master bedroom and your fully custom bathroom which boasts Toto fixtures, brand new tile floors, walls, backsplash and shower, and includes a rain fall shower head. Your master bedroom is perfectly situated off the palatial yard and has both eastern and southern exposures, so you'll be greeted every morning with dazzling sunlight and a view of the wonderfully landscaped outdoor space. The master bedroom also features a wall of closets for maximum storage, while also being able to fit a king-sized bed. The owner's duplex also boasts Mitsubishi electric remote-controlled AC units in the living room, dining room, kitchen and bedroom, conveniently cooling off your space in an energy efficient and quiet way. Another rarity for the neighborhood is a fully finished basement. This gut renovated space boasts tile floors and windows throughout, custom recessed lighting, another full bathroom with toto toilet and sink, rain fall showerhead, fan and brand new tile work, plus plenty of space for another living room in addition to another small dining area. Towards the back you'll find the custom-built laundry room with large slop sink which is also being used as a walk-in pantry for all your additional storage needs that you don't want to keep on your main floor. Past the laundry room you'll find a custom-made cedar closet which was built to be perfect for storage. The yard is a perfect mix of easy to maintain grass while also featuring not just a wood deck but also plenty of concrete area for even more floor space for tables, BBQs, furniture or a children's play area. In the rear of the yard there is a new shed which is great for all your yard storage, and a small gated area on the grass which is a great place to keep your pets when you don't want them to run around the yard, or it could be used for your favorite plants that you don't want pets or kids to ruin while playing in the grass. The home also features an alleyway, so you can get to and from the front of the house and yard without having to go inside. The top floor rental unit is an oversized two-bedroom apartment with a large open dining room, massive living room and two very spacious bedrooms. Currently below market, this apartment is easily valued at $3,600 per month. This is a rare opportunity to own a fully detached brick home in Prime Williamsburg. The building sits on a 25 X 104 lot, one of the largest lots in the neighborhood, with 1.33 FAR remaining. Additional features also include new vinyl siding and roof, updated plumbing and electric on the first two floors, new hot water heater and boiler, low taxes and maintenance and so much more. *Opportunity to rent parking right next door! Rare opportunity to rent a garage in this part of the neighborhood!

East Williamsburg | Brooklyn

Quick Profile

East Williamsburg is a mixed industrial neighborhood in Brooklyn, with many working factories that make everything from beer and wontons to clothing and concrete. You are likely to hear screeching, pounding and the deep thump of industrial machinery throughout the day. East Williamsburg has become a haven for artists and musicians of every description, who are attracted to the large open loft spaces of the converted industrial buildings. The area has attracted a younger crowd of 20- and 30-somethings that are drawn by affordable rents and a generally lower cost of living.

There is a rich history of immigrants from Puerto Rico and Italy, and oddly enough, they chose to settle on opposite ends of Graham Avenue, with the Italians on the north and the Puerto Ricans on the south.

Housing in the area consists of mid-rise apartment buildings, row houses, and public housing complexes. There are also smaller multi-family apartment buildings available. Lofts are becoming more prevalent as the older, abandoned factory buildings come up for sale and are converted into residential properties.

East Williamsburgfairly pulses with a creative vibe. There are unique shopping venues, numerous tiny coffee shops, interesting restaurants, and cafes, along with food trucks that frequent the area. The grocery stores are affordable and carry a wide variety of goods that appeal to the eclectic tastes of the neighborhood residents.

There is a vibrant bar scene, where you will find mostly local residents imbibing, so it is easy to make friends among your neighbors if you stop in frequently at your favorite watering hole. There are many interesting shops, bars and restaurants tucked in amongst the warehouses and factories. Many do not invest in elaborate signage, so it can be difficult to find some of the best spots. Keep an eye out for hand-painted signs on the sides of buildings with arrows pointing to nondescript, nearly invisible entrances.
