Property Description for 224 Bainbridge Street, THOUSE

NO FEE + 2 MO FREE! 1 mo commission paid to cooperating broker.

Built by Dixon Projects, this stunning home has everything from curb appeal to a private rooftop deck and more. Inside, the space was thoughtfully designed to cater to your every want and need. Sunlight dances off brand-new white oak hardwood floors as it streams in from windows in both the front and back of the open parlor level. Wood joists salvaged from another property create a charismatic ceiling element in the dining area. In the kitchen, the range hood detail was also created from reclaimed joists. Leather pulls on the cabinetry and concrete Caesarstone countertops add to the home’s industrial theme, while a full suite of brand-new stainless steel appliances against a stunning herringbone backsplash and matte white cabinetry keep the space modern. Enjoy a snack at the breakfast bar or escape to your rear deck through a fully-opening, state-of-the-art NanaWall for your morning cup of coffee. Also on this level, a reclaimed wood door slides open to reveal a storage closet.

This home features four bedrooms, all of which are conveniently located near a full bath and have their own private closet space. Notice that both the basement and second levels include their own set of Whirlpool washer + dryer and their own fully-outfitted wet bar complete with concrete Caesarstone countertops, open shelving and Summit wine coolers. You’ll be delighted to find that every bathroom includes NuHeat radiant heated flooring and a sleek staircase with blackened steel railings runs the length of this home. Finally, private outdoor space allows you to enjoy all four seasons with your guests in the expansive backyard or atop your home on the lovely roof deck.

A prime location leaves you nearby the A and C lines and several major bus routes. If you fancy a night out, head to Saraghina for pizza before kicking back at Casablanca Cocktail Lounge.

Bedford Stuyvesant | Brooklyn

Quick Profile

Known for its historic brownstones and tight-knit enclave, Bed-Stuy has increasingly left behind its early reputation for being a “bedroom community” and transcended into a highly desirable neighborhood.

Distinct for its aesthetic, it is populated with ornate buildings characterized by cornices, friezes, finials, fluting and other marks of classic architecture. Built up during the period from 1870 to 1900, its historic district runs to the north of Jefferson Avenue, to the east of Malcolm X Boulevard and to the west of Tompkins Avenue.

At one point known as “Brooklyn’s Little Harlem,” the shape of the area has shifted toward attracting a wider demographic of people thanks to the influx of bars, restaurants, antique furniture stores and vintage boutiques. More police enforcement paired with the decline of the crack epidemic at the beginning of the 2000s also opened the door for increased development, as well as the occupation of formerly abandoned buildings and spaces.
