Property Description for 81 White Street, 4-E

Hardly lived in convertible 3 bedroom in TriBeCa available now!

4E at 79-81 White Street is the perfect TriBeCa loft to call home, stretching 75 feet long and exceeding 2,100 square feet of pure luxury living, space for entertaining and plentiful storage. 4E enjoys original details, including exposed brick, ornate moldings and hardwood flooring throughout, coupled with high-end, state-of-the-art appliances.

Featuring a layout that can easily convert to a 3 bedroom, this residence boasts beautiful arched windows facing north, an open kitchen, home office and two very quiet bedrooms in the rear overlooking private outdoor patios.

The eat-in kitchen is replete with German cabinetry, granite countertops, a Miele Stovetop w/ overhead fan, an oversized Viking refrigerator and freezer, Frigidaire self-cleaning convection oven and microwave, Bosch dishwasher and garbage disposal.

The bedrooms are accessed through a large foyer that can easily be used as a den, library or additional office, and they are both outfitted with extra-large windows and closet space. The master bedroom enjoys a nice walk-in-closet that leads to the en-suite master bath, which features a double vanity and Jacuzzi tub, and the second full bathroom is home to the in-house Washer/Dryer units.

79-81 White Street is among the most unique condo conversions in Manhattan and is situated just two blocks from Soho, with the best of Manhattan’s shopping, restaurants and bars. Originally two 6-story buildings with floor through apartments—one with a stone and cast iron facade, and one brick—this condominium building was joined by a common elevator bank in 2004 and is now home to two apartments per floor. Nicely run with a wonderful staff and extremely responsive super, 79-81 White is the epitome of quintessential TriBeCa style living.

Cats and dogs are welcome!

Quick Profile

TriBeCa, named after the small geographic triangle below Canal Street. It’s not really a triangle, it's a quadrilateral and it's bounded by West Street, Broadway, and Chambers Street. It’s a little too late for a name change and besides, QuaBeCa doesn't sound half as cool as Tribeca.

One of New York City’s more notable acronymed neighborhoods, TriBeCa is known for its trendy boutiques, fabolous restaurants, historical landmarks, and resident celebrity lofts. It still holds the title of one of the coolest places to live in New York City.

TriBeCa is one of the first residential neighborhoods of New York City. Way back in 1700’s wealthy New Yorkers built homes and maintained gardens in what is now TriBeca.

Later in history it shifted from residential to warehouses, commerce and markets. After the Civil War, shipping hubs moved from the East River to the Hudson River and revitalized areas like the South Street Seaport and TriBeca. When shipping and commerce increased, the area soon became a favorite spot for wholesalers to store their goods in large industrial warehouses.

Just like its neighbor SoHo, TriBeCa boasts one of the world’s largest collections of wrought-iron facades and Neo-Grecian architecture.
