Property Description for 8020 4th Ave, F-8

This Enormous and Classic , 1 Bedroom corner unit is completely renovated and modernized but still has all of it's pre-war charm. With proportions you just don't see these days, this beautiful coop has room to breathe and relax. And being on the TOP FLOOR in the rear, this unit is quiet all day long. However, it still has wide open exposures so it is always very bright and even has beautiful and unexpected Harbor Views from every room. As you enter, there is a graceful and very large foyer that would make a fantastic home office/ library. That leads you to the tremendous Living Room. The bedroom if off to the right and is so large it can easily accommodate any furniture and still feels spacious even with a king size bedroom set and an office setup. Next, The brand new eat-in kitchen has been completely redone with stainless steel appliances including a dishwasher, lots of cabinet space, and a very large dining area that makes this apartment perfect for entertaining. The retro style bath has been redone with white subway tiles and black accents so you have the flexibility to use any decorating scheme you like. Stunning original details include refinished parquet floors, high ceilings and graceful curved arches in addition to lovely upgrades like built-in wall sconces for soft lighting and custom made Hunter Douglas Silhouette blinds. And storage will not be an issue since there are 4 large closets and plenty of space to add more closets or armoires if needed. The Exceptional pre-war building has excellent financials and a magnificent Art Deco lobby, a live-in super, a fully equipped private GYM, a brand new elevator, and an outdoor patio area that is perfect for warm weather entertaining. Finally, the location is very convenient to all that Bay Ridge has to offer including the subway and the all amazing restaurants and shops. Unfortunately, dogs are not permitted. This gem will definitely not last long!

Bay Ridge | Brooklyn

Lush front yards and trimmed hedges are pretty common in Bay Ridge.

Quick Profile

Bay Ridge is an old-world neighborhood neatly tucked into the southwest corner of Brooklyn within the shadows of the Verrazano Bridge. The neighborhood is encircled by the Belt Parkway along the shore line and the Gowanus Expressway inland.

Bay Ridge, long known for its generational pull, has historically been home to a diverse number of ethnic groups. While the area is flush with people of Irish, Italian and Greek descent, these ethnic communities have been joined by larger numbers of new groups, including people with Russian, Polish, Asian and Middle Eastern backgrounds. The Arab American community today in Bay Ridge represents the largest concentration of Arab Americans in New York City.

For many years, Bay Ridge and its waterside location, would attract the affluent. But most of the mansions that once lined Shore Road are long gone and have been replaced by six-story apartment buildings.

Aside from the low-rise apartment buildings, the neighborhood pretty much consists of one and two-family homes. Lush front yards and trimmed hedges are pretty common here.

Current zoning and limitations on building heights restrict any out of the norm development. At present, the future beholds small development on some of the commercial strips and teardowns of older homes for smaller residential projects.
