Property Description for 200 East 27th Street, 8-D

Welcome to apartment 8D at 200 E 27th Street... the most cheerful and best-priced alcove studio in the 'hood!

The first thing you’ll notice is the gorgeous, peaceful light. Not baking southerly sunlight, or the shadows of northerly light. Rather, facing West over Second Avenue and beyond, you get lots of sky, and direct sun late in the afternoon, with a partial view of the New York Life and the Empire State buildings.

This sweet property has plenty of space for every aspect of your daily home routine, including dining and entertaining, watching Netflix, working at your desk and sleeping. The closet space is incredible, with a large closet with built in storage at the entrance and another deep closet in the dressing area. The wood floors are in fine shape, and the home is freshly painted and squeaky clean.

The Victoria House is a full-service coop with an outstanding staff. In addition to a full time doorman and resident superintendent, the building offers laundry, bike storage and a fitness facility. Pets are permitted. Subletting and co-purchasing are also permitted, with Board approval. Finally, there is a spectacular roof-deck, perfect for catching some rays and enjoying a cocktail with friends.

Situated in the “sweet spot” between Murray Hill and Gramercy, you’ll love strolling to Madison Square Park, Gramercy Park and Union Square. You’ll have limitless options in the neighborhood for restaurants, bars and nightlife. The location could not be more fun or convenient!

Exercise your imagination, utilize a little elbow-grease, and seize this opportunity to own your Happy Place. Take the first steps to realizing your dreams by making an appointment and seeing it today!

Kips Bay | Manhattan

Quick Profile

If you take a walk through Kips Bay, which is loosely defined as the area between 23rd street and 34th street and the East River to almost Lexington, you’ll quickly learn it's a hodgepodge of sorts and not as well defined as other neighborhoods in New York City. Some New Yorkers say Kips Bay has an identity crisis because 1st, 2nd, and 3rd avenues are distinctly different from one another as you traverse them. Despite the perceived lack of neighborhood vibe there are others that appreciate its affordability and convenience.

First Avenue is dominated by hospitals and hospital buildings such as NYU Medical Center and Bellevue Hospital to name a few. Second Avenue is a mosaic of convenience stores, fast food joints and nondescript brick buildings. Third Avenue is saturated with small bars and gastropubs and the twenty somethings that patronize them.

No judgement against Kips Bay here. It’s a great neighborhood that is just as much a part of New York City as any other neighborhood. Kips Bay It’s bordered by Murray Hill to the North, Stuyvesant Town and Gramercy Park to the South, and Rose Hill to the West. The neighborhood is partly defined by newer high-rise apartments, brick rowhouses, and former tenement buildings.
