Property Description for 120 Greenwich Street, 11-J

8/1 occupancy. If you're looking for a new home with a bit more luxury than the average rental building and with the privacy of a 1BR, but finding only studios in this price range, then make an appointment now to see Apt 11-J at the Greenwich Place condominium! This apartment is a super-efficient and modern 1BR home with great south and west light in a prewar building that underwent a gut renovation in 2006. The building features 10' 6" high ceilings, over-sized windows, central a/c and elegant light oak flooring, which set it apart from the average rental unit. The highly functional, true 1BR layout make it a great choice in this price point. An open kitchen, tucked neatly into the corner of the living space, features a Bosch gas range, Liebherr refrigerator, Bosch stainless dishwasher, greystone back-splash, and emerald-colored, stone counter tops. The bathroom is sleek and spare, its tiles in satiny white glass and sandstone, a white porcelain sink, dark stone flooring, and a deep tub with a frameless glass shower. The floating vanity, and illuminated mirror/medicine chest and dimmed, Lutron lighting create a spa-like environment. The private bedroom faces south onto quite Carlisle Street, and offers bright sun for most of the day. The room will accommodate a queen sized bed, and its tall closet offers ample storage space. There is also a large hall closet for linens. Residents at 120 Greenwich Street enjoy a full time Doorman, 24/7, Fresh Direct cold storage, live-in super, well-equipped gym, large laundry room and a landscaped, furnished roof deck. The western-FiDi location is ideal for transportation (Path, every subway except the F/G) and shopping: literally across the street from Westfield WTC mall, The Fulton Transportation Center, Eataly, and an 8 minute walk to the Tribeca Whole Foods. Call or email for your private tour!

Financial District | Manhattan

Quick Profile

The Financial District (FiDi) today is a bit of a hybrid neighborhood, as the residential component continues to grow in an area that has been historically dominated by the financial and insurance industries. The residential experiment, which began more than two decades ago, continues to evolve in an area with a large concentration of older, large office buildings. Developers have taken to these aged buildings and have re-positioned them as residential properties. In turn, the public spaces, services and retail establishments needed for a thriving residential neighborhood have followed making this an important destination for city residents.

Since 2000, the residential population of the Financial District has nearly tripled in size from about 23,000 residents to more than 60,000 inhabitants. Many of the residential pioneers to FiDi were people attracted to the lower rents in the neighborhood, particularly the post-collegiate crowd. While the millennials still maintain a large footprint here, there are plenty of families that now consider the Wall Street area home.

Many of those that live in the Financial District walk to work. If you reside here and need to commute elsewhere, the transportation from here is about as good as it gets. Express trains can take you to Midtown, either east or west, in twenty minutes. Brooklyn is but a single subway stop away. There are also ferries across to Brooklyn, Queens and Staten Island.
