Property Description for 11 West 30th Street, 9-F

Fabulous, chicly-designed open-layout loft in a prewar live-work co-op, on the border of NoMad and Midtown South! Create your dream space with lots of character, an industrial feel, and a versatile layout that affords many possibilities for living, entertaining and doing business at home. The ambience of this generously-sized loft is brightened by huge south-facing windows, enriched by newly-refinished hardwood floors, and expanded by airy 11-foot ceilings heights. Easily designable to your desires whether you want an open office and dining/conference area or prefer to separate your business quarters from the living area, as the alternative floorplan shows. Sun-bathed living space, an open kitchen, king-size bedroom, full bathroom, in-unit washer and dryer and private storage add to the appeal. This unique apartment shares the 9th floor with only one neighbor, and is located in a distinctive loft cooperative comprised of residences on floors 5 to 15, and commercial occupants on 1 to 4. Built in 1925, 11 West 30th Street is a former garment manufacturing building that was converted to loft units in 1981. The building has 3 large elevators including a freight elevator, as well as a full-time superintendent who accepts packages, a management company, key-locked elevator entry and video intercom security. Located in the heart of NoMad between Fifth Avenue and Broadway, surrounded by the finest selection of retailers and restaurants, minutes from Madison Square Park, MSG, the Theatre District and more! Convenient transportation options nearby include 8 subway lines as well as the Penn Station and Grand Central Station hubs, and the heliport. Pets, subletting, and live/work are allowed.

NoMad | Manhattan

Quick Profile

NoMad, North of Madison Square Park, is a rectangular swath of land that is bordered by East 25th Street to the south, East 29th Street to the north, Sixth Avenue to the west, and depending who you ask, Madison or Lexington Avenue to the East. It’s had its acronymed name for over two decades but not every New Yorker calls the neighborhood NoMad.

Historic architecture, trendy hotels and restaurants and high-priced apartments - NoMad wasn’t always the coveted neighborhood that it is today. It’s gone through many transformations over the years. Including a red light district known as the Tenderloin in the 1880’s. It was a popular shopping destination and a place where high society held court in the mid 19th century. It was part of New York City’s Silicon Alley in the 1990’s.

As of lately, world class chefs and restaurants have moved into NoMad. It’s tied with Midtown Manhattan for having the most Michelin stars (six stars to date). Besides NoMad’s architecture, nightlife, and restaurants, we can’t forget the added perk of being close to other great neighborhoods and cultural institutions. NoMad’s central location makes it easier to get just about anywhere in the city. You can walk to Chelsea, West Village, Union Square or Grand Central Station in no time at all. The N, R, 1, 6, B, Q, F, and M are very close or just a few blocks away. Penn Station is also within walking distance.
