Property Description for 45 Tudor City Place, 407

This is a real 1BR apartment on the 4th floor of Prospect Tower - 45 Tudor City Place. Its an interesting Prewar Building with 24 hour Concierge desk and a rooftop sundeck! The apartment has large windows with Western views. Hard wood floors. Good closets. It is currently occupied and its very messy. Everything will be removed before the end of February. PLEASE LOOK PAST THE MESS! EVERYTHING ON THE FLOOR AND IN THE CABINETS AND CLOSETS WILL BE REMOVED WHEN CURRENT TENANT MOVES OUT AT THE END OF FEBRUARY. This is a 1 bedroom apartment with big windows and good closets, in a doorman building, in the East 40s, with utilities included for $1750 per month! The apartment Owner does not plan to paint or do any other work, so the new tenant will need to get this done themselves. This is a true bargain. Please make sure your client has good job, good credit, and no dogs. At this low price the owner is looking for an "uncomplicated" deal. Thank you, Elliot.

Tudor City | Manhattan

Quick Profile

Compared to other New York City neighborhoods Tudor City is a bit different. For starters, it's not very big. And technically it's not a neighborhood, it's more along the lines of a residential enclave of Tudor style buildings and parks. Even with the large neon sign boldly exclaiming the enclave's name, Tudor CIty is still a little tricky to find.

Located on the southern edge of Turtle Bay, Tudor City borders Murray Hill and lies on a low cliff which is just east of Second Avenue between 40th and 43rd Street. It overlooks the grounds of the United Nations along First Avenue and the East River beyond.

Tudor City is considered one of the world’s first skyscraper apartment complexes. This was considered a remarkable feat in 1929. Early marketing material, aimed at the middle class, described the development as well-planned, well-built, and well-priced housing. Developer Fred F. Finch designed Tudor City to keep middle class residents in Manhattan as many were fleeing the city for the suburbs.
