Property Description for 333 Park Ave South, 5-A

This authentic NOMAD loft space was formerly the glass studio of stained glass icon, Luis Comfort Tiffany. Soaring 14’ ceilings flood this one of a kind space with light from oversized windows and a spectacular artist's skylight. This beautiful, modern, renovated one bedroom residence has a unique airy atmosphere and compelling cityscape views from every window. The impeccable renovation boasts rich dark-stained hardwood floors, central air and motorized retractable shade under the artists skylight. The amazing storage from a wall of well-built cabinetry ingeniously maximizes every inch of space. Hide all clutter in your living room with both a built-in home office and entertainment center areas which stow away behind hinged 9’ doors. A similar cabinetry system has been designed for the bedroom closet as well, and is already outfitted with custom shelving, drawer system and hanging rods. The open kitchen is designed for entertaining, with high end stainless steel appliances, smart storage to the ceiling, a niche to conceal your coffeemaker, and a Caesarstone island inlaid with a four burner gas cooktop and topped by a stainless steel hood that vents to the outside. To finish it all off, a Miele washer/dryer are in the unit. The sleek, zen inspired bath has an inviting glass enclosed rain shower and skylight, floor to ceiling ceramic tile and long spa counter with undermount sink. Move right in and enjoy all the area has to offer - Madison Square Park is just one block away, great restaurants are abundant, as well as shopping, nightlife and excellent transportation, all nearby. Sorry, no dogs. (The unit has potential buildable terrace space off the living room, with coop board approval).

Kips Bay | Manhattan

Quick Profile

If you take a walk through Kips Bay, which is loosely defined as the area between 23rd street and 34th street and the East River to almost Lexington, you’ll quickly learn it's a hodgepodge of sorts and not as well defined as other neighborhoods in New York City. Some New Yorkers say Kips Bay has an identity crisis because 1st, 2nd, and 3rd avenues are distinctly different from one another as you traverse them. Despite the perceived lack of neighborhood vibe there are others that appreciate its affordability and convenience.

First Avenue is dominated by hospitals and hospital buildings such as NYU Medical Center and Bellevue Hospital to name a few. Second Avenue is a mosaic of convenience stores, fast food joints and nondescript brick buildings. Third Avenue is saturated with small bars and gastropubs and the twenty somethings that patronize them.

No judgement against Kips Bay here. It’s a great neighborhood that is just as much a part of New York City as any other neighborhood. Kips Bay It’s bordered by Murray Hill to the North, Stuyvesant Town and Gramercy Park to the South, and Rose Hill to the West. The neighborhood is partly defined by newer high-rise apartments, brick rowhouses, and former tenement buildings.
