Property Description for 45 East 9th Street, 65

Exceptional and graceful, 45 East 9th Street was originally designed in 1925 by Helme & Corbett Architects; one of the three firms hired to design The Rockefeller Center - located off Fifth Avenue and moments from Washington Square Park.

This sprawling co-op home offers space, timeless elegance, privacy and location. Residence 65/66 has a more than a generous layout with 2 bedrooms, a formal dining room & two and a half bathrooms – it is also possible to reconfigure the layout to a three bedroom.

Welcomed by a grand foyer and a spacious sunken living area, your attention is immediately drawn to the 11" ceilings, wood burning fireplace and impressive over-sized Parisian windows facing directly south. The views are sun flooded & open and the expansive windows serve as a picture frame, over looking the Gold Coast in Greenwich Village.

The pristine cooks kitchen features stainless steel counter tops, top of the line appliances, microwave and dishwasher. Off of the kitchen you also have a separate dining area and can fit a 10 person dining set. Entertaining has never been easier or more fun. The large floor plan also allows for the dining area to be converted into a third bedroom if required.

With an over-sized master suite with ample room for a home office and its own wood burning fireplace, it makes for the perfect retreat for relaxation. The master bath is outfitted with European fixtures and fittings, a deep soaking tub and floor-to-ceiling tiling. The apartment features one more generous sized bedroom and bathroom. The apartment also features a separate laundry room and powder room for guests. The high ceilings and expansive south and north facing windows throughout exude warmth, air and light to every room in this beautifully crafted home.

The home comes with smart storage solutions including three large custom walk in closets and built ins, providing efficient use of space and function.

45 East 9th St is a premier co-op building with an exclusive collection of 65 private residences. Featuring unparalleled amenities such as a 24 doorman, full-time super, storage and roof deck with views of downtown.

Greenwich Village | Manhattan

Quick Profile

Birthplace of beatniks, Greenwich Village has always been a neighborhood bursting with creativity, home to artists, poets, musicians and writers. There is a lot of foot traffic in the neighborhood, as it gives convenient access to many other neighborhoods. There are a lot of popular eateries on MacDougal Street and bars on Bleecker Street. The neighborhood has a bit of a college-town feel, due to the presence of NYU. There aren’t large chain stores here, so it isn’t really a mecca for shopaholics, but you can find interesting vintage stores and specialty boutiques.

Available housing is centered on pre-war walk-ups. You can find good deals on the quieter, tree-lined side streets, as opposed to the bustling avenues. There are pockets of brownstones and townhouses, some dating back to the early 19th century, throughout the neighborhood, as well. You will find more luxurious housing in the newer high-rise buildings on Park and Fifth Avenues.

Washington Square Park is the heart of the neighborhood. If you sit near the Arch and close your eyes, you might catch an echo of the music and social history of the Park, floating through the air. Greats like Joan Baez, Bob Dylan, and Paul Simon started their storied careers right here in Greenwich Village. Today, the Village is a celebration of diversity, where everyone is welcome.
