Property Description for 330 East 33rd Street, 15-MN

Do not miss this rare opportunity to acquire this amazing space perfectly positioned on the southeast corner of 330 East 33rd Street in Kips Bay Tower overlooking the private park of the complex. Space, light, open views, wonderful flexibility and value distinguish this incredible combination apartment. While the apartment currently has the presence and charm of a beloved home, the flexible distribution of the space affords a purchaser the opportunity to create a home molded to your specific needs.

Upon first entering the wide and welcoming foyer, one is greeted and drawn forward by the light flowing through the oversized windows in the grand corner living room, perfect for elegant entertaining or relaxation. To the right of the living room, with a full wall of southern-facing windows, is the formal dining room/den/library, to be defined as desired and situated just outside the spacious kitchen with pantry. The kitchen, also accessible from the foyer hall has counter seating, room for a kitchen table and an abundance of counter space and cabinet storage. Beyond the dining room and kitchen is a fourth bedroom and bath, perfect for staff or a private home office.

Proceeding to the left of the foyer one enters a master bedroom of uncommon proportions, with an en-suite bath, generous closet space and a wall of windows facing east, affording welcoming morning light. Please note that the master bedroom is currently a large double room having incorporated the space of the second bedroom, readily convertible to two spacious bedrooms.

Also off of the foyer, nicely separate from the entrance to the master bedroom suite, is a hallway leading to the second and third bedrooms which share another bath off of that hallway. As currently configured, the second bedroom is open to the master bedroom but is easily separated and privatized. There is a Capital Assessment of $273.47 per month for this apartment projected through 2020.

This is a must see space for any purchaser looking for great space and great value in an excellent building.

Kips Bay Towers is comprised of two fully attended buildings, each with two separate entrances, bordering a large private park and playground for the buildings residents. The complex was designed by the world famous architect I. M. Pei.

Kips Bay | Manhattan

Quick Profile

If you take a walk through Kips Bay, which is loosely defined as the area between 23rd street and 34th street and the East River to almost Lexington, you’ll quickly learn it's a hodgepodge of sorts and not as well defined as other neighborhoods in New York City. Some New Yorkers say Kips Bay has an identity crisis because 1st, 2nd, and 3rd avenues are distinctly different from one another as you traverse them. Despite the perceived lack of neighborhood vibe there are others that appreciate its affordability and convenience.

First Avenue is dominated by hospitals and hospital buildings such as NYU Medical Center and Bellevue Hospital to name a few. Second Avenue is a mosaic of convenience stores, fast food joints and nondescript brick buildings. Third Avenue is saturated with small bars and gastropubs and the twenty somethings that patronize them.

No judgement against Kips Bay here. It’s a great neighborhood that is just as much a part of New York City as any other neighborhood. Kips Bay It’s bordered by Murray Hill to the North, Stuyvesant Town and Gramercy Park to the South, and Rose Hill to the West. The neighborhood is partly defined by newer high-rise apartments, brick rowhouses, and former tenement buildings.
