Property Description for 414 East 52nd Street, 6-C

As soon as you walk into this hugely appealing apartment you will feel right at home. Warm and cozy, spacious and bright, this mint, two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment is very special.

Enter into a large and gracious entry foyer with beautiful architectural details that leads to a generous living room with high beamed ceilings, open north views and a wood burning fireplace.

This immaculate, pre-war apartment has hardwood floors throughout, beautiful moldings, high ceilings and six closets including four roomy walk-in closets. The large master bedroom has an ensuite bath with a window and an exquisite etched glass door.

The kitchen and two baths have been remodeled and are in mint condition.

Located in one of the prestigious Emory Roth designed Bing and Bing buildings on a quiet, private tree-lined cul de sac, the Southgate, built in the late 20s, is a full-service co-op with a full-time doorman, community landscaped garden, laundry facility, bike room and storage space. Pets, pied-a-terres and guarantors are welcome. Washer and dryers permitted with board approval. Electricity is included in the monthly maintenance.
There is an Annual Operating Assessment in October, 2016 equal to approximately one month’s maintenance.

This is a wonderful and inviting home.

Beekman Place | Manhattan

Quick Profile

Beekman Place is less of a neighborhood than it is a quiet two-block enclave just north of the United Nations on the far eastern edge of Turtle Bay. There is only one street that runs through the neighborhood, also called Beekman Place, that wraps itself around 49th Street and 51st Street.

This bucolic little stretch of the east side has always been a cherished spot for those fortunate enough to have found refuge here. The noise and the street traffic from the city surrounds is virtually non-existent as there are no through streets in this neighborhood.

The neighborhood composition largely consists of a few clusters of townhouses and prewar co-ops. The exception to the rule is the charming art-deco-styled Beekman Place Hotel at the corner of First Avenue and 49th Street and the two post-war towers, 860 and 870 UN Plaza that front the grounds of the United Nations.
