Property Description for 250 Mercer Street, C-216

Totally unique 2 bedroom 2 bath expansive loft with 17’ ceilings!

250 Mercer is an extremely desirable Greenwich Village address, and unit C216 may be it’s most unique home. Upon entering and to your immediate left, you’ll be treated to the brand new and thoughtfully laid out galley kitchen with white quartz countertops, a grand farmhouse sink, shaker wood cabinetry and a convenient pass-through to the living room for continuous conversations and ease of sharing your culinary creations.

Opposite the kitchen, you will find the first of TEN spacious closets.

Walk through to the living room, stop and catch your breath as you take in the dramatic 17 foot ceilings, enormous windows, the custom made one-of-a-kind 12’ sliding barn doors, crystal chandelier above with separate dimmable recessed lighting all to set an extraordinary mood.

Right off of the living room is the first of two bedrooms. It features its own FOUR large closets which rise all the way up to the peak height of the 17’ ceiling. Off of the main floor bedroom, you will step inside a separate luxurious, all marble bathroom with a spa like shower.

Head to the staircase and venture upstairs. As you ascend, you’ll notice the beautiful feature wall of floor-to-ceiling exposed brick.

At the top you will find the generously sized open lofted FLEX space, which can be configured any way you’d like. Overlooking the living room, take notice of the turn-of-the-century cast-iron pillar anchoring the living space. Some creative ideas for the loft include use as a 2nd bedroom, a home office or den. The loft has it’s own en-suite marble bathroom with soaking tub and giant walk-in-closet.

The building is pet-friendly and also offers one of the more stunning building roof decks. Located on Mercer Street and only steps from key landmarks like Washington Square Park this is one of the most appealing neighborhoods in Manhattan with proximity to extraordinary dining, shopping, culture and public transportation.

Don’t miss the opportunity to view / preview this gut renovated loft unlike any you’ve seen in the area!

Greenwich Village | Manhattan

Quick Profile

Birthplace of beatniks, Greenwich Village has always been a neighborhood bursting with creativity, home to artists, poets, musicians and writers. There is a lot of foot traffic in the neighborhood, as it gives convenient access to many other neighborhoods. There are a lot of popular eateries on MacDougal Street and bars on Bleecker Street. The neighborhood has a bit of a college-town feel, due to the presence of NYU. There aren’t large chain stores here, so it isn’t really a mecca for shopaholics, but you can find interesting vintage stores and specialty boutiques.

Available housing is centered on pre-war walk-ups. You can find good deals on the quieter, tree-lined side streets, as opposed to the bustling avenues. There are pockets of brownstones and townhouses, some dating back to the early 19th century, throughout the neighborhood, as well. You will find more luxurious housing in the newer high-rise buildings on Park and Fifth Avenues.

Washington Square Park is the heart of the neighborhood. If you sit near the Arch and close your eyes, you might catch an echo of the music and social history of the Park, floating through the air. Greats like Joan Baez, Bob Dylan, and Paul Simon started their storied careers right here in Greenwich Village. Today, the Village is a celebration of diversity, where everyone is welcome.
