Property Description for 355 West 29th Street, 4-B

This bright and peaceful rustic Chelsea 1 Bedroom is not your typical Manhattan apartment. A Well designed floorplan takes advantage of most of the square footage in the unit, but what is special about this lovely home is when you enter this unit it does not feel like you are in a small Manhattan apartment it resembles a serene home in the country. With most of the unit windows facing the lovely courtyard, the views when you look out the windows into the lush landscaped garden are nothing that of a bustling city. This apartment features a lovely sunk in livingroom, hardwood floors throughout, a renovated modern granite and stainless kitchen with SubZero appliances, vaulted ceilings, wood burning fireplace, exposed brick, and a large dining mezzanine great for entertaining friends. Situated on a gorgeous tree lined street in the heart of Chelsea it is in close approximation to the 1,E,A,C subway lines, and just steps to the Chelsea Highline, Whole Foods, FIT school, and some of the city’s best eateries and shopping in town!

If that was not enough this liberal coop building allows Guarantors, Pied-A-Tierre, Co-Purchases for your kids. Financially sound building also has lenient sublet policies of 3 Out Of 5 Years, After 2 Years Occupancy + Monthly Sublet Fee To Co-op. After 3 Years Ownership, No Resale Flip Tax Fee.

If you are looking for peace and quiet home after a long day working in the city this could be your next big escape, A true peaceful sanctuary in the middle of Manhattan!

Chelsea | Manhattan

Quick Profile

The row houses portray the world-class architecture of Greek Revival, Italianate and Georgian styles. The population is both ethnically and socially diverse, which is reflected in the restaurants and retail businesses in the neighborhood.

Western Chelsea is the center of the NYC art world, where you will find more than 200 art galleries housed in rehabbed factories and warehouses, as well as in newly-constructed buildings.

While people of many different cultures call Chelsea home, it has been a mecca over the years for people in the LGBTQ community. One census reported that as many as 22% of its residents were gay couples. Eighth Avenue is a trendy area for LGBTQ-oriented dining and shopping. Although it no longer draws the LGBTQ population that it once did, Chelsea still has many popular alternative bars.

Chelsea is primarily residential, consisting of a mixture of diverse complexes, low-rise apartment blocks, tenements, townhouses, renovated row houses, and luxury high-rises.

Chelsea is an interesting and sought-after place to live, with unique clothing boutiques, restaurants, and delis representing cultures from around the world. In addition to its quirky establishments, Chelsea has fine dining restaurants and a vibrant, hip nightlife, which adds to its allure.

Chelsea is well-served by public transportation. At least six city bus routes traverse Chelsea. There are three NYC subway routes with stops on Seventh Avenue, three on Eighth Avenue, and two more on Sixth Avenue. The 34th Street - Hudson Yards Station opened in 2015 with its main entrance in Chelsea.
