Property Description for 19 Bond Street, 2-A

Incomparably distinguished, 19 Bond Street is offering its first availability in almost a decade. Residence 2A is reintroduced following a meticulous renovation. Parallel to its vibrant NoHo surroundings, the apartment’s design is modern, eccentric, and effortlessly chic. At nearly 1400 square feet with soaring 13-foot ceilings, this condo loft is an architectural masterpiece. The open and airy great room is infused with natural light from northern and western exposures. Walls of oversized windows and a Juliet balcony provide optimal views of the neighborhood below. Among other distinct details including exposed brick walls, beamed ceilings, and original columns, the room’s piece de resistance is a Concreteworks East custom wood-burning fireplace. The avant-garde Bulthaup Model 3 kitchen was the first to be installed in the United States. The sleek, minimalist design features an industrial island with exposed pipes and a Miele cooktop, alongside a Liebherr refrigerator, Miele dishwasher and oven, and compartmentalized storage all cleverly disguised as two large custom cabinets. A Miele washer/dryer is also included. The spacious and sun flooded west-facing master bedroom offers a wall of custom Poliform closets. The bathroom is outfitted with Duravit fixtures and cabinetry, and a stand-up tiled shower. Above the bathroom is a lofted storage space at just under 5-feet tall. 19 Bond Street is a landmarked prewar boutique condominium, located on perhaps the most famed and sought-after cobblestone street downtown. The ornately detailed and beautiful red brick facade is intrinsic to its NoHo origins. The elevator building offers incredibly low monthlies. The dynamic neighborhood delivers unsurpassable culinary, art, theater, and fashion scenes. Call or e-mail today for a private viewing.

Greenwich Village | Manhattan

Quick Profile

Birthplace of beatniks, Greenwich Village has always been a neighborhood bursting with creativity, home to artists, poets, musicians and writers. There is a lot of foot traffic in the neighborhood, as it gives convenient access to many other neighborhoods. There are a lot of popular eateries on MacDougal Street and bars on Bleecker Street. The neighborhood has a bit of a college-town feel, due to the presence of NYU. There aren’t large chain stores here, so it isn’t really a mecca for shopaholics, but you can find interesting vintage stores and specialty boutiques.

Available housing is centered on pre-war walk-ups. You can find good deals on the quieter, tree-lined side streets, as opposed to the bustling avenues. There are pockets of brownstones and townhouses, some dating back to the early 19th century, throughout the neighborhood, as well. You will find more luxurious housing in the newer high-rise buildings on Park and Fifth Avenues.

Washington Square Park is the heart of the neighborhood. If you sit near the Arch and close your eyes, you might catch an echo of the music and social history of the Park, floating through the air. Greats like Joan Baez, Bob Dylan, and Paul Simon started their storied careers right here in Greenwich Village. Today, the Village is a celebration of diversity, where everyone is welcome.
