Property Description for 115 Fourth Ave, 6-H

Priced to move! Apartment 6H in the sought-after Petersfield Condominium delivers bright and peaceful Greenwich Village views, almost European in feel. The renovations to the space took into account every square inch of the loft and maximized the functionality of it, with an intelligence seldom seen in this city. The generosity of the room size and abundance of storage here is truly remarkable. This is modern industrial loft style living at its best, all right in the heart of the Village. The warm Brazilian cherry oak floors and theatrical pin-spot recessed lighting carry an exciting elegance through-out the space. The expansive living room features celling heights reaching over 11 feet, massive 7-foot windows with attractive city sunny views and opens up to the chef's kitchen, completing this great entertaining space. Up the architectural stainless-steel staircase to a custom built office space over the adorable nursery. The art collector will love the grand gallery entrance. Built with the gourmet chef in mind, the kitchen features a breakfast bar, top of the line appliance package including built in Miele cooktop, oven, and microwave. A large Subzero refrigerator, built in pantry closet, open spice rack (so you can see all your spices), many deep soft close drawers and a utensil drawer fit for Gordon Ramsay, the trash is hidden (of course!) The comfortable master bedroom suite feels more like its own private wing. It houses plenty of space for king or queen beds, two separate dressing areas, washer and dryer, about 14 linear feet of fully customized closets AND access to a secret attic with approximately 135 square feet of storage, the perfect catch all for that unsightly etc. like luggage and golf clubs. Now go and cancel your Manhattan Mini storage and just pull down the ladder. The private master bath features a double vanity with deep storage, large sit down shower with handheld shower head and a large vanity closet. Space like this could fix any relationship. Ha. If having a nursery with a loft office isn't your thing, that space can be converted into a bedroom sized den, complete with a closet and room for a queen sized bed, or bunk beds. This pet friendly building has a full-time doorman and common roof deck.

Greenwich Village | Manhattan

Quick Profile

Birthplace of beatniks, Greenwich Village has always been a neighborhood bursting with creativity, home to artists, poets, musicians and writers. There is a lot of foot traffic in the neighborhood, as it gives convenient access to many other neighborhoods. There are a lot of popular eateries on MacDougal Street and bars on Bleecker Street. The neighborhood has a bit of a college-town feel, due to the presence of NYU. There aren’t large chain stores here, so it isn’t really a mecca for shopaholics, but you can find interesting vintage stores and specialty boutiques.

Available housing is centered on pre-war walk-ups. You can find good deals on the quieter, tree-lined side streets, as opposed to the bustling avenues. There are pockets of brownstones and townhouses, some dating back to the early 19th century, throughout the neighborhood, as well. You will find more luxurious housing in the newer high-rise buildings on Park and Fifth Avenues.

Washington Square Park is the heart of the neighborhood. If you sit near the Arch and close your eyes, you might catch an echo of the music and social history of the Park, floating through the air. Greats like Joan Baez, Bob Dylan, and Paul Simon started their storied careers right here in Greenwich Village. Today, the Village is a celebration of diversity, where everyone is welcome.
