Property Description for 417 Park Ave, 6-W

Rare opportunity to live in this exclusive and one-of-a-kind home in one of Manhattan's finest Park Avenue addresses.

6W at 417 Park, at East 55th Street, is a sprawling 9 room, 4 bedroom/4.5 bath apartment (including maid’s quarters) that has been masterfully designed and decorated to showcase classical European style with a modern Manhattan sensibility. (Note: It can be delivered unfurnished.)

This finely furnished apartment, which has its own private elevator access, boasts an expansive floor plan that includes a grand living room with decorative fireplace and dining salon that accommodates up to 12. In addition, it features a windowed eat-in kitchen with adjacent butler's pantry as well as an elegant and intimate library room with its own built-in wet bar and movie projection with hidden screen. The spacious living quarters are accentuated by four oversize windows that bring in an optimal amount of light and make it an excellent space for lounging or entertaining.

The three main bedrooms, including a master with its own decorative fireplace, lie privately on the opposite side of the apartment. A his and hers master bathroom were custom built and – together with a dressing room, ample closet space and custom cabinetry throughout – add an extra layer of luxury to this remarkable home. A maid's room (or perfect home office), bath and laundry room are also in the apartment, situated adjacent to the kitchen. Please understand there is a "no smoking" policy in this rental.

Set on Park Avenue and 55th Street, 417 Park is ideally situated in the new hot midtown east. Originally built in 1917, this pre-war co-op building was designed by renowned architect Emery Roth. 417 Park is an exclusive white-glove, full-service luxury building that sits just steps from some of New York's most prestigious cultural and gastronomical institutions as well as some of the city's best shopping.

Rarely do such grand apartments as this become available for rent, so this is a unique opportunity to live in a highly-exclusive residence in the very heart of Manhattan.

Midtown East | Manhattan

Quick Profile

Midtown West and Midtown East have a lot in common. They’re bustling, iconic, and full of people. But just like siblings, their personalities can be vastly different. Midtown East is a bit more sophisticated and doesn’t quite have the vivacity and unruliness that its westerly counterpart exudes.

Midtown East is bordered by 42nd to the south, 59th Street to the north, 5th Avenue to the west, and 3rd Avenue to the east.

The neighborhood is famous for its high-end stores, tourist attractions, posh hotels (budget ones too), and iconic architecture. Midtown East is also one of the largest financial and business hubs in Manhattan. During normal business hours the sidewalks are full of commuters and people moving from point A to point B. In the early evening, when the masses have left for the day, things suddenly get a little quieter and the sidewalks have a lot less foot traffic.

Although largely a commercial neighborhood, residential areas of Midtown East do exist on the eastern section of the neighborhood.

Grand Central Station is located in Midtown East and like Midtown West, it’s an extremely commutable neighborhood. The 4, 5, 6, 7 and S trains whisk people in and out of the neighborhood 24 hours a day. Grand Central Station also serves as a hub for New York State and Connecticut commuter rails. These trains can take you anywhere along the Hudson River or up into Connecticut. It’s perfect for day tripping.
