Property Description for 200 Chambers Street, 24-DE

Graced with dazzling panoramic views of the Hudson River and Tribeca through over 300 ft. of floor-ceiling-windows, this 5 bedroom, 4-and-a-half bathroom apartment is a multifaceted gem that unfolds across 4,650 SF of custom finishes and sophisticated design.

One of the largest homes in 200 Chambers Street, the main living area—adjacent to one of the apartment’s two, closeted, entryway Foyers and with access to its leather-tiled Powder Room—is an open-concept enclave that flows across a sea of hardwood floors from the Kitchen and Sitting Room into the Dining Room and Living Room, and ends with a secluded Library. Situated on the western side of the home, the space is wrapped in river facing floor-to-ceiling windows that invite gleaming rays of natural light in during the day and frame gorgeous sunset skies on the precipice of night. Overlooking the Sitting Room, the Kitchen is finished with slab stone countertops, an assortment of high-end stainless steel appliances, and back painted glass upper cabinets and backsplash. A blend of private nooks and unobstructed sightlines, the entire wing is an entertainer’s paradise as much as it is a family sanctuary.

Set up as a family-friendly Playroom, the second living area sits on the eastern side of the home. It has a pair of floor-to-ceiling windows, 12 x 24 cork tile floors, and a modern, fully-equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances and a cozy breakfast niche.

The Master Suite is comfortably tucked away in the northeast corner of the apartment. It features ultra-suede walls, river views, a dressing room, and a truly massive master closet. At the heart of the suite lies a spacious Master Bathroom. The polished ensuite contains limestone walls, a custom bamboo double vanity, star fire glass, and a separate shower and bathtub. Bedrooms two through four lie on the eastern side of the home. Each one has dedicated closet space, floor-to-ceiling windows, and easy access to a pair sleekly-finished bathrooms. The fifth bedroom, nestled in the southeast corner of the apartment, has an eastern facing floor-to-ceiling window, a large walk-through closet space, and an attached three-piece bathroom. All bedrooms come with custom carpeting by Sacco Carpet.

Completing the home is a Laundry Room with two sets of washers/dryers, beautiful custom millwork made from of quarter sawn West African wenge, recessed, electrically powered Mecho shades and curtains by Mary Bright, and a web of ubiquitously wired monster cable.

Tribeca’s first luxury high rise development designed by acclaimed architects Costas Kondylis & Partners and developed by Jack Resnick & Sons, 200 Chambers is one of New York City’s most amenity-rich condominiums. Offering a 24-hour attended lobby, first-class concierge service, a sky-lit indoor pool, a fitness center, a parking garage, a resident's lounge, a children's playroom, a rooftop terrace and a courtyard waterfall garden. It has easy access to main subway lines and is only steps away from acclaimed restaurants and shops, parks, and the largest Whole Foods in Manhattan.

Quick Profile

TriBeCa, named after the small geographic triangle below Canal Street. It’s not really a triangle, it's a quadrilateral and it's bounded by West Street, Broadway, and Chambers Street. It’s a little too late for a name change and besides, QuaBeCa doesn't sound half as cool as Tribeca.

One of New York City’s more notable acronymed neighborhoods, TriBeCa is known for its trendy boutiques, fabolous restaurants, historical landmarks, and resident celebrity lofts. It still holds the title of one of the coolest places to live in New York City.

TriBeCa is one of the first residential neighborhoods of New York City. Way back in 1700’s wealthy New Yorkers built homes and maintained gardens in what is now TriBeca.

Later in history it shifted from residential to warehouses, commerce and markets. After the Civil War, shipping hubs moved from the East River to the Hudson River and revitalized areas like the South Street Seaport and TriBeca. When shipping and commerce increased, the area soon became a favorite spot for wholesalers to store their goods in large industrial warehouses.

Just like its neighbor SoHo, TriBeCa boasts one of the world’s largest collections of wrought-iron facades and Neo-Grecian architecture.
