Property Description for 5 Tudor City Place, 1525

Upon enterting the gorgeous lobby with elevators, you will notice this full service building features a 24 hour Doorman, state of the art Fitness Center, & Bike Room. The building was developed in the 1920's to be an escape from the city. The quiet neighborhood has stunning architecture, manicured gardens, a playground and old world style all on a waterlined section of Manhattan. After a few minutes you will understand why this building is the best kept secret of Murry Hill.

In 2015 this 15th floor, 1 bedroom unit underwent a complete renovation. Dark wood floors accent the bold white counters and backdrop that carry through the kitchen and bathroom. Staying cool in the summer is easy with your ductless Air Conditioner unit. And speaking of keeping cool, store your groceries and beverages in the Liebherr refridgerator and enjoy cooking and cleaning with Bosch appliances in this light and bright open kitchen. Do this alll while the natural light pours in from the East and South facing views in this corner unit, thanks to newer insulated windows.

With an incredible price point awarding you privacy in a one bedroom setting overlooking the river, you'll be glad you chose 5 Tudor City to be called home.

Pied-A-Terre, dogs & cats allowed for owners.

Tudor City | Manhattan

Quick Profile

Compared to other New York City neighborhoods Tudor City is a bit different. For starters, it's not very big. And technically it's not a neighborhood, it's more along the lines of a residential enclave of Tudor style buildings and parks. Even with the large neon sign boldly exclaiming the enclave's name, Tudor CIty is still a little tricky to find.

Located on the southern edge of Turtle Bay, Tudor City borders Murray Hill and lies on a low cliff which is just east of Second Avenue between 40th and 43rd Street. It overlooks the grounds of the United Nations along First Avenue and the East River beyond.

Tudor City is considered one of the world’s first skyscraper apartment complexes. This was considered a remarkable feat in 1929. Early marketing material, aimed at the middle class, described the development as well-planned, well-built, and well-priced housing. Developer Fred F. Finch designed Tudor City to keep middle class residents in Manhattan as many were fleeing the city for the suburbs.
