Property Description for 177 Ninth Ave, 5-E

Feel instantly at home in this impeccable, turnkey 1BR/1.5Ba apartment that provides a gracious sense of style & proportion from the moment you walk through the front door. Wide plank white oak fumed floors bring you into the sun flooded living room where high ceilings and large quiet windows give you a beautiful, classic NYC view all the way to the Empire State Building. The large, custom kitchen has gorgeous cabinetry, 30" Wolf oven, a 27" Sub-zero refrigerator, Bosch 500 Series dishwasher & a Sub-zero 46 bottle dual-zone wine cooler. Discretely hidden behind a pocket door is a Bosch washer & dryer. The very spacious (and peaceful) master bedroom has generous & beautifully built-out custom closets that lead into the stunning Botticino Fiorito stone slab master bathroom with radiant heat, a Kohler Tea-for-Two soaking tub and thermostastic glass enclosed shower. This is the very first 1BR re-sale to come to market in Chelsea's most exceptional new residential building, The Chelsea Enclave, and the first on the prized 5th floor. This floor is the only one with a ceiling height of 10.5 feet. Built with impressive care and without compromise, "The Enclave" is truly a sanctuary of discrete elegance. This special apartment transfers with a very large storage room and there is a state-of-the-art fitness room, valet, courtyard, roof terrace as well as a garage all within the building. It is just steps from The High Line, Chelsea Market, the art galleries and world class restaurants that make West Chelsea one of the most dynamic neighborhoods in America. Residents also have direct access to the sumptuous park that helps make up the block long General Theological Seminary. Gorgeous massive trees, gardens, paths and rich history help form a living experience unlike any other.

Chelsea | Manhattan

Quick Profile

The row houses portray the world-class architecture of Greek Revival, Italianate and Georgian styles. The population is both ethnically and socially diverse, which is reflected in the restaurants and retail businesses in the neighborhood.

Western Chelsea is the center of the NYC art world, where you will find more than 200 art galleries housed in rehabbed factories and warehouses, as well as in newly-constructed buildings.

While people of many different cultures call Chelsea home, it has been a mecca over the years for people in the LGBTQ community. One census reported that as many as 22% of its residents were gay couples. Eighth Avenue is a trendy area for LGBTQ-oriented dining and shopping. Although it no longer draws the LGBTQ population that it once did, Chelsea still has many popular alternative bars.

Chelsea is primarily residential, consisting of a mixture of diverse complexes, low-rise apartment blocks, tenements, townhouses, renovated row houses, and luxury high-rises.

Chelsea is an interesting and sought-after place to live, with unique clothing boutiques, restaurants, and delis representing cultures from around the world. In addition to its quirky establishments, Chelsea has fine dining restaurants and a vibrant, hip nightlife, which adds to its allure.

Chelsea is well-served by public transportation. At least six city bus routes traverse Chelsea. There are three NYC subway routes with stops on Seventh Avenue, three on Eighth Avenue, and two more on Sixth Avenue. The 34th Street - Hudson Yards Station opened in 2015 with its main entrance in Chelsea.
