Property Description for 240 East 10th Street, 15-AB

This full-floor apartment is truly one-of-a-kind with unobstructed views in every room from all four exposures and over-sized windows! The views include the Empire State bldg., Chrysler Bldg., and new Freedom Tower, among others. It's what New Yorkers dream of owning and wait for years to find! It even has 3 balconies. Sophisticated and chic, the home is in triple mint condition with contemporary finishes & materials - a fully custom renovation featured in Elle Decor (UK Edition). A key-locked elevator opens into a warm and welcoming foyer, but it's the massive living room (34' x 28'9") that really draws you into the space with scenic views that are spectacular both during the day and at night, especially from the balcony. Well crafted built-ins and designer lighting complement the space while providing a showcase for art, books, and other treasures. Conveniently located next to the living room is the large eat-in kitchen featuring white Caesarstone quartz counter tops, beautiful walnut cabinets, Italian glass tiled backsplash, Gaggenau stove & grill, Miele dishwasher, Sub-Zero refrigerator, wine fridge, and Bang & Olufsen built-in speakers. The over-sized eat-in area easily accommodates a table with seating for 8, plus it has a built-in banquette with storage underneath. Best of all, you can enjoy your morning coffee outside on the kitchen balcony. The master bedroom is a peaceful escape with stunning views, window seat, balcony, and awesome closet space. A special retreat, the master bathroom has Durivit fixtures, double sink vanity, and a Toto toilet, but the highlight of the very beautiful and spa-like bathroom is the custom-designed tile mosaic of a cherry blossom in the shower. Both of the other bedrooms are also very spacious with ample closet space. Other features in the apartment: Thru-wall A/C in every room, laundry room with Miele washer & dryer, and exposed concrete ceilings. Private Storage! Boutique building has 24-hour doorman.

East Village | Manhattan

Quick Profile

The East Village has two distinct moods. By day, it is quiet and peaceful. Everyone is out and about, either working or relaxing at Tompkins Square Park, strolling or jogging along the East River, or hanging out in one of the subsets of cultural activity, such as St. Mark’s Place.

But then night falls, and the East Village comes to life, keeping the entertainment and nightlife going long after the other neighborhoods have called it quits for the night. People from all five boroughs flock to the dive bars and speakeasies, head for their favorite cafes and restaurants, or drop in to a music venue to listen to hot tunes or cool jazz and dance the night away. Don’t worry, you don’t have to “know somebody” to gain admittance to even the most popular venues. You won’t find velvet ropes, bouncers, or and a waiting list at the door of most places. Just walk right in and enjoy yourself.

Be prepared for the increased population during fall through spring, when NYU is in session. College students will be everywhere, contributing to the youthful essense of the neighborhood.
