Property Description for 125 East 12th Street, 4-H

With high ceilings, ample storage space, and an abundance of natural light, residence 4H is a tranquil loft currently configured as a one bedroom, one bathroom on 12th Street.

This truly special unit is well laid out with a foyer entrance leading to the open living and dining areas, with a ceiling height close to 11 feet. Tall arched windows bring in beautiful natural light and feature northern exposure. Only a few units in the building include these expansive windows, making it truly special!

The current owner has taken incredible care of the unit and has provided for modern touches, such as recently re-sanded and refinished flooring, a new central A/C unit, along with a recently renovated and re-glazed bathroom (which features a shower/tub). They also installed an adjustable Raydoor system on a Hafele track, which is currently used as a second bedroom and can also be reconfigured to an open or closed office space. The kitchen includes a Samsung dishwasher and microwave along with a Dacor oven. The bedroom is large enough to comfortably fit a California king bed, and the owner will be bestowing the Optoma projector upon the new owner (ideal for movie night!).

With three walk-in-closets and a washer/dryer in the unit, 4H truly has it all!

125 East 12th Street is located on 12th Street between 4th and 3rd Avenues. Ideally situated on the border of East Village and Greenwich Village, The Zachary is surrounded by the best shops, restaurants and stores in the area including Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, the Union Square Farmers' Market, along with major subway lines within 2 blocks. This pre-war boutique condominium has been well-cared for and features a 24-hour doorman, courtyard garden, and a charming landscaped roofdeck.

Greenwich Village | Manhattan

Quick Profile

Birthplace of beatniks, Greenwich Village has always been a neighborhood bursting with creativity, home to artists, poets, musicians and writers. There is a lot of foot traffic in the neighborhood, as it gives convenient access to many other neighborhoods. There are a lot of popular eateries on MacDougal Street and bars on Bleecker Street. The neighborhood has a bit of a college-town feel, due to the presence of NYU. There aren’t large chain stores here, so it isn’t really a mecca for shopaholics, but you can find interesting vintage stores and specialty boutiques.

Available housing is centered on pre-war walk-ups. You can find good deals on the quieter, tree-lined side streets, as opposed to the bustling avenues. There are pockets of brownstones and townhouses, some dating back to the early 19th century, throughout the neighborhood, as well. You will find more luxurious housing in the newer high-rise buildings on Park and Fifth Avenues.

Washington Square Park is the heart of the neighborhood. If you sit near the Arch and close your eyes, you might catch an echo of the music and social history of the Park, floating through the air. Greats like Joan Baez, Bob Dylan, and Paul Simon started their storied careers right here in Greenwich Village. Today, the Village is a celebration of diversity, where everyone is welcome.
