BUILDING HISTORY
The building was built in 1929 as the headquarter office of the New York Telephone Company. It is considered Brooklyn's first skyscraper and is a prime example of the art-deco style designed by Ralph Walker, who was named architect of the century by the American Institute of Architects. As a result of 365 Bridge Street's important historical and architectural significance, it was voted a landmark building in 2004.
