Enjoy space, comfort, and maximum privacy in this sprawling 2,000SF architect-designed loft located on a quiet block in historic West Chelsea. A wide entrance gallery leads to a dramatic Living/Dining room bathed in southern light with 11-foot beamed ceilings, beautiful hardwood floors, and tranquil tree-top views overlooking the surrounding historic architecture from a wall of double-glazed windows. The renovated eat-in chef's kitchen is partially open to the dining area and features deep absolute granite countertops, a gorgeous tumbled-slate backsplash, abundant custom maple cabinetry, and top-of-the-line stainless steel appliances including a Thermador range with hood, Miele dishwasher, and double Franke sinks with custom KWC fittings. Nearby, a large separate pantry closet provides an added convenience and offers even more storage.

Behind the kitchen, hand-crafted Shoji screen doors slide open to reveal a large separate office with dual desks and custom built-in cabinetry. Just beyond, a long hallway lined with floor-to-ceiling closets separates public from private, and leads to two bright and spacious bedrooms, and 2 beautifully renovated bathrooms. The enormous Master Bedroom suite is a pin-drop quiet sanctuary with tasteful built-in shelving, a gigantic triple-hung walk-in closet, and a tasteful en-suite bathroom replete with custom vanity, deep medicine cabinet, and a fabulous glass-enclosed shower with Bisazza-tiled walls and soothing river stone floors. The guest bathroom is equally beautiful and clad in floor-to-ceiling limestone and features a custom Corian vanity and a deep air-jetted tub in which to soak away the stresses of the day. Every inch of this home has been carefully considered with comfort and convenience in mind.

Additional amenities include a large separate laundry room, custom lighting, and lots of clever built-in's and storage throughout. All this, in an established prewar coop with renovated lobby, key-locked elevator, video intercom security, an on-site superintendent available Monday thru Friday 8AM-5PM, and a beautiful common roofdeck. Chelsea | Manhattan

Quick Profile

The row houses portray the world-class architecture of Greek Revival, Italianate and Georgian styles. The population is both ethnically and socially diverse, which is reflected in the restaurants and retail businesses in the neighborhood.

Western Chelsea is the center of the NYC art world, where you will find more than 200 art galleries housed in rehabbed factories and warehouses, as well as in newly-constructed buildings.

While people of many different cultures call Chelsea home, it has been a mecca over the years for people in the LGBTQ community. One census reported that as many as 22% of its residents were gay couples. Eighth Avenue is a trendy area for LGBTQ-oriented dining and shopping. Although it no longer draws the LGBTQ population that it once did, Chelsea still has many popular alternative bars.

Chelsea is primarily residential, consisting of a mixture of diverse complexes, low-rise apartment blocks, tenements, townhouses, renovated row houses, and luxury high-rises.

Chelsea is an interesting and sought-after place to live, with unique clothing boutiques, restaurants, and delis representing cultures from around the world. In addition to its quirky establishments, Chelsea has fine dining restaurants and a vibrant, hip nightlife, which adds to its allure.

Chelsea is well-served by public transportation. At least six city bus routes traverse Chelsea. There are three NYC subway routes with stops on Seventh Avenue, three on Eighth Avenue, and two more on Sixth Avenue. The 34th Street - Hudson Yards Station opened in 2015 with its main entrance in Chelsea.
