Property Description for 35 McDonald Ave, 3-E

Spacious studio, with separate gourmet kitchen, in Windsor Terrace's stunning, glass-and-metal fronted condominium that delights from the semi-circular driveway up to canopy-graced entrance. This new construction, elevator property enthralls you with its bamboo flooring; over-sized thermal windows; hi-ceilings, a contemporary partial wall, gracefully dividing the kitchen area from the roomy living/sleeping space. Cook's kitchen has stainless d/w, full-size fridge, built-in micro/range hood, gas oven/stovetop, all-in-one combo washer/dryer. The white/gray marble counters and modern lighting offer just the right counterpoints to the mocha-wood cabinetry. Dining area at the foot of the kitchen is lovely and overlooks Windsor Terrace's charming rear gardens. And there is the more casual dining option afforded by the breakfast counter/bar custom-built into the demi-kitchen wall with open window onto the living space. Spa-like glass-tiled and ceramic bath with deep, jet tub, hotel-modern vanity, super-sized medicine cabinet with mirror, chic fixtures, lighting and hardware. Huge, walk-in, California custom closet. Made to order blinds, high-hat ceiling lighting. Central air, and you control the gas heat, as well. Views of trees, trees, trees from the ample windows in the living/sleep area. On the sunny third floor of this well-maintained condominium with sleek, modern hallways and attractive foyer with Zen-soothing tiling. This condominium, with unique set-backs and angles to its facade, is as fresh-feeling as when it was built in 2007. Great for the live-in owner; parent buying for son or daughter; or the savvy investor. Close to the ever-expanding shopping, restaurants, cafes, health & fitness services, trains, bus lines of Windsor Terrace and Park Slope. Your dog or cat will love it here as much as you will. Indeed, pet walking is a cinch with splendid Prospect Park a few blocks away. Bike riding, neighborhood strolls couldn't be more people-friendly. Extra-low c.c. of $252 will be the envy of your friends . . . as well as many years left on the 421a Tax Abatement! (Monthly assessment of $144.17 included in common charge is not going to set you back either.) This 33-unit condominium has an upbeat verve, and this commodious studio offers all the right designs for "living well" today! Snag this prize-winner while interest rates are still LOW.

Windsor Terrace | Brooklyn

Quick Profile

The tiny, comma-shaped neighborhood of Windsor Terrace is bookended between two of Brooklyn’s largest green spaces, Prospect Park and the massive Green-Wood cemetery. Aside from the presence of the Prospect Park Expressway, which dissects the neighborhood in two, this residential community offers a suburban sensibility with its tree-lined streets, low volume traffic and the low height character of its streetscape.

Many homes in the area are low to the ground, lending a suburban feel to the neighborhood, and the area has been down-zoned to maintain its low-rise appeal and character. There are plentiful brick row houses that have very low turnover. If you are lucky enough to buy or rent one, you tend to hold on to it. There are also small apartment buildings, private homes, condos and multi-family homes in a wide price range

There is commercial development along Prospect Park West, Fort Hamilton Parkway and Prospect Avenue, but even these new stores and restaurants are mostly family-owned and operated, maintaining the small-town charm. The pace of life is slower. The schools are good, which is a big draw for families with young children. The people are friendly, which gives a real sense of neighborhood and community to Windsor Terrace.
