JUST LISTED! EXTRAORDINARY XXX MINT GV TRIPLEX IN FULL SERVICE BLDG WITH BEAUTIFUL GARDEN ON PRISTINE 12TH STREET JUST OFF UNIVERSITY PLACE

Remarkable pre-war detail merge with stunning contemporary design to distinguish this home from all others. This gut renovated and spacious two bedroom, two and a half bathroom loft-like home with gorgeous landscaped garden is accented by dramatic sixteen foot barrel-vaulted ceilings, exposed brick & stunning cast iron columns all circa 1928. These details beautifully compliment the sophisticated, thoughtful, modern renovation.

The main, entertaining level with its 16' barrel vaulted ceiling is home to a gracious foyer with powder room, a great room for living & dining, and an open Poggenpohl chef's kitchen which boasts an extra-large black granite island with breakfast bar, five burner Miele vented stovetop, oversized Sub-Zero refrigerator, built-in Dacor wall oven and microwave, and Miele dishwasher. The lower level is dedicated to an enormous master suite bathed in luxury which looks out to the perfectly appointed zen garden. Here you will also find a customized double walk-in closet, a spa-like master bath with a large, modern soaking tub and a discrete oversized laundry nook with Miele washer/dryer and loads of shelving. The upper level with its full height ceiling welcomes you to a spacious second bedroom with a comfy reading nook and ideally appointed ensuite bath.

The 350+ sf garden oasis is both elegantly designed and landscaped. With custom lighting, it's also fully irrigated and has a custom-made shed. The garden accentuates the tranquillity of this home and is ideal for outdoor entertaining.

Literally no detail has been overlooked in creating this oversized Greenwich Village home into a contemporary serene space spread over three levels. Central AC, a Lutron lighting system, hardwood floors throughout, soundproof walls, custom windows and shades as well as abundant closet and storage space on every level underscore the care and consideration with which this approximately 1700sf space has been designed.

Located in the heart of historic Greenwich Village on 12th Street just off University Place, University Mews Owners Inc. is a well established, financially solid, smoke-free, full service co-op with 24 hour door service, live-in super, full-time porter staff, and home to a large and newly renovated roof deck. Greenwich Village | Manhattan

Quick Profile

Birthplace of beatniks, Greenwich Village has always been a neighborhood bursting with creativity, home to artists, poets, musicians and writers. There is a lot of foot traffic in the neighborhood, as it gives convenient access to many other neighborhoods. There are a lot of popular eateries on MacDougal Street and bars on Bleecker Street. The neighborhood has a bit of a college-town feel, due to the presence of NYU. There aren’t large chain stores here, so it isn’t really a mecca for shopaholics, but you can find interesting vintage stores and specialty boutiques.

Available housing is centered on pre-war walk-ups. You can find good deals on the quieter, tree-lined side streets, as opposed to the bustling avenues. There are pockets of brownstones and townhouses, some dating back to the early 19th century, throughout the neighborhood, as well. You will find more luxurious housing in the newer high-rise buildings on Park and Fifth Avenues.

Washington Square Park is the heart of the neighborhood. If you sit near the Arch and close your eyes, you might catch an echo of the music and social history of the Park, floating through the air. Greats like Joan Baez, Bob Dylan, and Paul Simon started their storied careers right here in Greenwich Village. Today, the Village is a celebration of diversity, where everyone is welcome.
