Property Description for 261 Broadway, 12-B

Not many Tribeca Two-Bedrooms can boast direct and unobstructed breathtaking views of the Brooklyn Bridge. And not many lofts can brag about a wonderful corner exposure that showcases spectacular views of some of downtown's most iconic building: the Frank Gehry Building and City Hall Park to the east, the Woolworth Building and 1 WTC to the south. This Two-Bedroom loft can do both.

With seven oversized windows, you'll be treated to a rich tapestry of city life and dazzling light from morning until night. Entertaining is a delight with a gracious floorplan and open kitchen that flows into a living and dining area. Chefs at heart will feel right at home with a windowed kitchen that features a 6-burner Wolf range, Bosch dishwasher, Sub-Zero refrigerator, 56-bottle wine fridge, Vermont soapstone sink, and natural granite countertops. Both bedrooms are good-sized with custom closet cabinetry. Other features include approximately 10' ceilings, solid oak flooring, a large walk-in closet, and powder room.

261 Broadway is an intimate, well-managed cooperative with a beautiful landscaped roof deck, live-in superintendent, and second floor laundry. There is a bike room as well as additional basement storage. Convenient to all transportation. Please contact Exclusive Broker for a private showing of this beautiful loft.

Quick Profile

TriBeCa, named after the small geographic triangle below Canal Street. It’s not really a triangle, it's a quadrilateral and it's bounded by West Street, Broadway, and Chambers Street. It’s a little too late for a name change and besides, QuaBeCa doesn't sound half as cool as Tribeca.

One of New York City’s more notable acronymed neighborhoods, TriBeCa is known for its trendy boutiques, fabolous restaurants, historical landmarks, and resident celebrity lofts. It still holds the title of one of the coolest places to live in New York City.

TriBeCa is one of the first residential neighborhoods of New York City. Way back in 1700’s wealthy New Yorkers built homes and maintained gardens in what is now TriBeca.

Later in history it shifted from residential to warehouses, commerce and markets. After the Civil War, shipping hubs moved from the East River to the Hudson River and revitalized areas like the South Street Seaport and TriBeca. When shipping and commerce increased, the area soon became a favorite spot for wholesalers to store their goods in large industrial warehouses.

Just like its neighbor SoHo, TriBeCa boasts one of the world’s largest collections of wrought-iron facades and Neo-Grecian architecture.
