Property Description for 45 Fuller Place

Welcome to 45 Fuller Place: a rare opportunity to own a quintessential single family townhouse on the prettiest block in Windsor Terrace! An inviting front porch, lined with flower boxes, welcomes you as you approach this lovely brick home. Upon entering, the entry foyer opens up to the living room on the left, with a large storage and coat closet tucked under the stairs directly in front. Three oversized windows with charming stained glass transoms above provide a focal point for the living room as well as exceptional light. A den connects the living room with the dining room in the back of the home, and is perfect spot for a home office or TV nook. The well sized dining room also features oversized windows, which many neighbors have converted to french doors or sliders with a deck leading down to the backyard beyond. Past the dining room is the windowed galley kitchen with stairs leading down to the large backyard and basement. A windowed laundry room is also located off the kitchen and could easily be converted to another full bathroom, should one desire. Upstairs are three bedrooms all with exceptional light. The oversized front bedroom is the full width of the house and was originally two bedrooms. It features two closets and a lovely original ceiling medallion. The second bedroom is also well sized with a lovely original ceiling medallion. There is also a full bathroom on this floor. Downstairs is a finished windowed basement with a water closet and sink. There is also a large storage closet and several storage rooms in this level, making organization a breeze! This lovely home has been lovingly cared for and features many original details including original doors and moldings, pocket doors and banister and newel post. Fuller Place is a quiet, one block long, tree lined, street known for its rows of white columned porches on both sides of the street. It has been voted greenest block in Brooklyn, and used in countless TV shows and movies. The location does not get better with the entrance to F & G train and the Key Foods and Walgreens just one block away. In addition, all of the offerings of Prospect Park West are just two blocks away, with neighborhood favorites such as Brunswick, Krupa Grocery, Double Windsor, as well as Prospect Park and the weekly farmers market at 15th Street but a short stroll! St. Joseph the Worker and K280 are also extremely close, and the home is currently zoned for PS 154!

Windsor Terrace | Brooklyn

Quick Profile

The tiny, comma-shaped neighborhood of Windsor Terrace is bookended between two of Brooklyn’s largest green spaces, Prospect Park and the massive Green-Wood cemetery. Aside from the presence of the Prospect Park Expressway, which dissects the neighborhood in two, this residential community offers a suburban sensibility with its tree-lined streets, low volume traffic and the low height character of its streetscape.

Many homes in the area are low to the ground, lending a suburban feel to the neighborhood, and the area has been down-zoned to maintain its low-rise appeal and character. There are plentiful brick row houses that have very low turnover. If you are lucky enough to buy or rent one, you tend to hold on to it. There are also small apartment buildings, private homes, condos and multi-family homes in a wide price range

There is commercial development along Prospect Park West, Fort Hamilton Parkway and Prospect Avenue, but even these new stores and restaurants are mostly family-owned and operated, maintaining the small-town charm. The pace of life is slower. The schools are good, which is a big draw for families with young children. The people are friendly, which gives a real sense of neighborhood and community to Windsor Terrace.
