Breath of Fresh Air - Easy 3 Family Conversion

Welcome to 632 Monroe Street, a newly renovated, 2-family townhouse, boasting airy and rustic finishes in the heart of serine and ever-appreciating Bedford Stuyvesant. Before ever stepping inside this gracious living arrangement, lucky buyers will receive a warm welcome to a neighborhood filled with new shops and a slew of unique café’s, restaurants and bars—Peaches, Peaches Hot House, Saraghina, Beso, Bed Vyne Brew, Bed Vyne Cocktail, Lovers Rock and Cassablanca Cocktail Lounge—all within 5 blocks of the J & Z trains at Gates Avenue and in close proximity to the C & A express trains at Utica Avenue station.

Maximize your return on investment with this former 3-family, now configured as a stunning 1-bedroom garden level duplex and 4-bedroom duplex. This more than accommodating layout makes for an easy conversation back from 2-3 units. Simply add a kitchen to this rejuvenated brownstone, with all the plumbing and wiring for a third unit already in place!

Enter into the 4-bedroom duplex through the parlor floor and find a brilliant, airy open concept layout, adorned with timeless and minimal finishes—exposed wood beams, exposed brick, custom wall niches, recessed lighting, and large exposures for loads of natural light, leading into an open, corner kitchen with top of the line stainless steel appliances and dishwasher.

Find equally breathtaking finishes in the garden level duplex. Including another open and airy living area, with large exposures, exposed brick and beams and a staircase with glass railing leading down to a finished basement with a full height ceiling, recessed light and sleek marble floors. This stunning garden level apartment includes its own washer and dryer units, as well as a modern kitchen with pristine white cabinetry, stainless steel appliances and direct access to a large garden through sunny glass doors.

Quick Profile

Known for its historic brownstones and tight-knit enclave, Bed-Stuy has increasingly left behind its early reputation for being a “bedroom community” and transcended into a highly desirable neighborhood.

Distinct for its aesthetic, it is populated with ornate buildings characterized by cornices, friezes, finials, fluting and other marks of classic architecture. Built up during the period from 1870 to 1900, its historic district runs to the north of Jefferson Avenue, to the east of Malcolm X Boulevard and to the west of Tompkins Avenue.

At one point known as “Brooklyn’s Little Harlem,” the shape of the area has shifted toward attracting a wider demographic of people thanks to the influx of bars, restaurants, antique furniture stores and vintage boutiques. More police enforcement paired with the decline of the crack epidemic at the beginning of the 2000s also opened the door for increased development, as well as the occupation of formerly abandoned buildings and spaces.
