Property Description for 214 Wyckoff Street

This is the perfect Boerum Hill house that you have been waiting for: a stunning high-end renovation that incorporates the seamless integration of historical details and modern amenities on four perfect floors! An abundance of charming and restored original details include wide-plank floors, wood-mullioned windows, exposed brick, marble mantles, restored doors and hardware, and mahogany banisters. The two-zone central AC system, ADT alarm, solar panels, Kemper roof and finished cellar offer the luxuries and green touches coveted today, and rarely seen in a turn-of-the-century townhouse. A beautifully landscaped back and front yard offer seasonal perennials, an irrigation system, and the perfect view out of all of your windows. Enter on the garden level to a formal dining/living room in the front and your dream kitchen and powder room in the back, framed by a curtain wall of glass in the back that allows sun to shine in all day long. The upscale and renovated chefs kitchen evokes a Parisian country house, featuring Wood Mode white wood and glass cabinetry, a huge eating and prepping island complete with a gorgeous slab of Carrara marble, water dispensing Sub-Zero fridge, a Viking stove tucked away in the original brick hearth, Bosch dishwasher, deep porcelain farm sink, and subway tile backsplash. One flight up, the luminous double parlor will take your breath away with its floor-to-ceiling windows and crown moldings juxtaposed perfectly with stunning modern light fixtures and a wall of custom millwork. Use this floor as a formal double parlor, or reclaim the back parlor for an amazing master suite and still have formal entertaining space. The light-engulfed top floor offers three bedrooms and a luxurious bath with Waterworks fixtures and stonework. The master bedroom will not disappoint with its surprising and spacious walk-in closet. The finished cellar needs to be seen to be believed. Envisioned as a playroom and music room, it has been outfitted with custom maple seating and storage, as well as a built-in laundry area and loads of dry storage. This could also be your media room, or a fantastic home office too. Located within a few blocks from subways in every direction, as well as world-class dining, shopping, and amenities. This house is a spacious and design savvy alternative to anything else currently available in Brooklyns most coveted tree-lined neighborhood.

Boerum Hill | Brooklyn

Quick Profile

Boerum Hill is a tiny, quiet, primarily residential neighborhood in Brooklyn. There are broad tree-lined streets that are filled with elegant three and four-story brownstones and townhouses, mostly built between 1840 and 1870. There is a definite family vibe to the neighborhood, but young professionals are moving in, and with them are coming trendy bars to cater to their desire for some measure of nightlife, without having to linger in Manhattan. These new bars and restaurants are being sandwiched in amongst existing shops on both Atlantic Avenue and Smith Street, which are the main commercial areas in Boerum Hill.

Boerum Hill offers a convenient location that is still able to maintain its small-neighborhood feel. Shopkeepers value their customers and remember their regulars. It continues to do what it was designed to do, namely provide small-town living in the very shadow of the big city. Boerum Hill is an easy commute to other parts of the city, making it easy to come home every day to the peace and tranquility of Boerum Hill while commuting to a job anywhere in the city.

The neighborhood is quite walkable and you can take the time to catch up with your neighbors while visiting on their stoops. Shopping on Atlantic Avenue is stress-free with no high pressure. You can meet with friends at any of the many coffee shops and while away pleasant hours in conversation. The dining scene on Smith Street is similarly laid-back. Don’t expect that there will be quite as much to see or do as there is in Manhattan, but there are a decent number of interesting bars and restaurants providing a measure of nightlife. The trade-off is worth it, as Boerum Hill provides a quiet, peaceful place to live and raise a family.
