Property Description for 119 North 11th Street, 4-D

THIS WELL-DESIGNED WILLIAMSBURG LOFT RENTAL IS AMAZINGLY STILL AVAILABLE!This is an elegant, spacious, open plan 3 bedroom, 1.5 bath 1,650 sq ft loft with all the classic features that are hard to find these days: exposed brick walls, hardwood floors, steam radiators (so heat is included) & a Soho-style passenger/freight elevator. Ideally located one block from McCarren Park & a few from the East River Water Taxi & G & L trains. This is a corner brick building circa 1888 & the condo was established in 1984. It is a commercial condo: no businesses allowed, but it is a live/work space. You enter into the space through a gracious foyer with a wall of closets with overhead storage. The Main Room has the feeling of the Great Room of a grand Adirondack Lodge with it's soaring 14' 6" ceilings & barn-like wooden beams. The loft is a flexible three bedroom: one bedroom is fully enclosed with 2 windows, another is fully enclosed with pocket French doors & the third has a partial wall with its own closets, so light & air can pass through the space. All 3 bedrooms are large enough for King-sized beds (13' x 15', 14' x 17' & 14' x 14'). The loft has newly appointed 1.5 bathrooms & brand new Stainless Steel GE appliances (refrigerator, electric stove with range hood & full-sized D/W). The loft has 4 brand new temperature controlled AC wall units, 2 fans & a brand new W/D in a 6' x 6' Laundry Room. Since it is a corner loft, there are seven huge windows with custom made blinds facing North & East; 4 of which overlook the McCarren Park Hotel pool. There is also a communal Laundry Room & Bike Storage in the basement. No smoking or dogs please, but cats allowed on a case by case basis. The excellent owner lives in the building & takes loving care of this property. Because the L train will be shut down temporarily, you have many other options: the G train, the East River Water Taxi & the B 62 Bus which takes you straight to the 7 Train for Grand Central Station.

Williamsburg | Brooklyn

Quick Profile

Equal parts family-friendly and millennial haven/nightlife destination, Williamsburg offers the best of all worlds. Whether by night or by day, the ‘Burg has endless options for every type of personality and interest--which has only increasingly become the case after the neighborhood was rezoned in 2005. With the floodgate opened for more varied types of businesses, Williamsburg saw one of the highest rates of development in the past decade than any other part of Brooklyn.

Referred to as “Little Berlin” for its late night and club-oriented nature, Williamsburg works as hard as it plays. Apart from the Clubland concentrated around Wythe Avenue, there is also a slew of offices (like 25 Kent Avenue, a sprawling eight-floor, 500,000-square foot waterfront building) and co-working spaces such as WeWork, The Yard and Green Desk that make it an ideal location for the corporate-, startup- and tech-oriented set.

With more offices setting their sights on this part of Brooklyn, it only makes sense that more people want to live close to where they work. Apart from your average walk-up apartment, W-burg has famously become home to numerous condos along the waterfront that continue to grow and expand in concert with the businesses and corporate hubs that have entered the environment.

Even with its many and undeniable changes, however, Williamsburg remains an arts-friendly community, particularly with regard to music and literature. While DIY spaces have come and gone, certain staples have persisted to become institutions that still provide a place for up and coming musicians to perform. On the literary front, long-standing indie bookstores like Spoonbill and Sugartown and Book Thug Nation have paved the way for others to cross the river, namely McNally Jackson Books.
