Property Description for 101 Wyckoff Ave, 4-G

Bright and spacious is the best way to describe this beautiful top-floor, one-bedroom warehouse loft conversion in a much-coveted building in the heart of all the action in Bushwick. The Wy 101 Lofts provides the look and feel of a true loft apartment with the features and conveniences of a condominium. Walking into apartment 4G, you are immediately greeted by large warehouse-style triple six-foot windows providing tons of natural light throughout the kitchen and living room. The Northeast facing bedroom and living room windows have an unobstructed view of the surrounding neighborhood and flood the apartment with sunlight. The super high ceilings and wide open floor plan gives you the opportunity to personalize your new home and make it your own. The kitchen features stainless steel appliances, including a dishwasher, a brand new gas range and a new built-in microwave. The apartment features substantial closet space in both the living area and bedroom, which also has triple six-foot windows. The bathroom has modern finishes with a deep soaking tub and travertine tile. The apartment features central heat and air conditioning, washer/dryer, security system, and video intercom system. The elevator building features a common rooftop deck with complete views of the Manhattan skyline. With the DeKalb Ave L train stop sitting right outside the building, the Wy 101 Lofts offers the most convenient access to Manhattan, only 20 minutes to Union Square station. At the same time, Wy 101 Lofts offers all the best restaurants, cafes, art galleries, and street art that Bushwick has become famous for right outside your door. With very low common charges and a generous tax abatement until 2022, this apartment is a must see!

Bushwick | Brooklyn

Quick Profile

As one of the most diverse neighborhoods in New York, Bushwick offers a perfect snapshot of just how multicultural the city is. Long-established as an amalgam of cultures and ethnicities, a wave of varying types of immigrants trickled in from the seventeenth to twentieth centuries, with Bushwick largely becoming a home to Hispanics of Puerto Rican and Dominican backgrounds by the latter part of the twentieth century.

With the Bushwick Initiative of the mid-00s that aided in revitalization, it became an attractive area to young professionals and artists. And even now, Bushwick has sustained affordable rent prices where other North Brooklyn counterparts, like Williamsburg and Greenpoint, have become more expensive. Priding itself on the weird and the wacky, numerous art collectives thrive in this part of Brooklyn, once famously named the seventh coolest neighborhood in the world by Vogue.

Though it has drawn in many tourists in recent years (there’s even a graffiti tour you can take from the Bushwick Collective), the neighborhood remains very much community-oriented, and has not been subject to quite the same sort of corporate infiltration phenomenon of its nearby Williamsburg environs.

But yes, of course, Bushwick has come a very long way from its 80s and 90s reputation as being “The Well,” a nickname given to it for its free-flowing and widely available amount of drugs (quantity over quality being the cliche applied here).
