Property Description for 130 West 20th Street, 1-B

CHIC. SERENE. SPOTLESS.At the nexus of the vibrant Chelsea and Flatiron neighborhoods, and on the same block as the highly anticipated West 20th Street Park (projected completion; April, 2018), 130 West 20th, 1B is, at 750 square feet, objectively the best price-per-square-foot 1 bedroom condominium opportunity on the market now in the Chelsea and Flatiron neighborhoods south of 23rd Street. High ceilings and Brazilian walnut hardwood floors frame this calm and sophisticated oasis, situated within the luxe, boutique PRIMA doorman condominium. While nestled quietly on a tranquil, tree-lined block, you don't have to go far to hit the kind of neighborhood amenities New Yorkers love: 7th Avenue's "Restaurant Row"extends North and South from the block's western corner, TraderJoe's, Bed, Bath & Beyond and other large retailers are just steps away to the East, and the 1 train is two blocks South on 7th/18th. Barry's Bootcamp is across the street. There is great natural light through oversized widows, and the apartment boasts a spacious kitchen with abundant cabinetry. There are Bosch, Meile, and Subzero appliances - including a washer and dryer - all of which blend into a sleek background of timeless design, one incorporating Wenge wood, Carrara marble, and limestone finishes. Storage, that precious Manhattan commodity, is plentiful: There are generously-sized closets in the kitchen, hallway, and bedroom, as well as a deeded 26 square foot storage unit in the basement. The 36 unit building, while deliberately small in size, is rich in amenities: Apart from the 24 hour doorman, there is a fully-equipped gym, bike storage, a common roof deck, pet spa, and cold storage for food deliveries. There is a 421 tax abatement still in place, and pets are welcome. Come see what you've been waiting for!

Chelsea | Manhattan

Quick Profile

The row houses portray the world-class architecture of Greek Revival, Italianate and Georgian styles. The population is both ethnically and socially diverse, which is reflected in the restaurants and retail businesses in the neighborhood.

Western Chelsea is the center of the NYC art world, where you will find more than 200 art galleries housed in rehabbed factories and warehouses, as well as in newly-constructed buildings.

While people of many different cultures call Chelsea home, it has been a mecca over the years for people in the LGBTQ community. One census reported that as many as 22% of its residents were gay couples. Eighth Avenue is a trendy area for LGBTQ-oriented dining and shopping. Although it no longer draws the LGBTQ population that it once did, Chelsea still has many popular alternative bars.

Chelsea is primarily residential, consisting of a mixture of diverse complexes, low-rise apartment blocks, tenements, townhouses, renovated row houses, and luxury high-rises.

Chelsea is an interesting and sought-after place to live, with unique clothing boutiques, restaurants, and delis representing cultures from around the world. In addition to its quirky establishments, Chelsea has fine dining restaurants and a vibrant, hip nightlife, which adds to its allure.

Chelsea is well-served by public transportation. At least six city bus routes traverse Chelsea. There are three NYC subway routes with stops on Seventh Avenue, three on Eighth Avenue, and two more on Sixth Avenue. The 34th Street - Hudson Yards Station opened in 2015 with its main entrance in Chelsea.
